We have been told to start checking out the official site from 8am tomorrow as there is important news ..... What do you think it might be ? I think its an announcement of a new striker !
Probably an annoucement about an announcement. Is it Connell there have been rumours. Probably a new flag.....twice the size of the previous one.
There are all kinds of rumours doing the rounds and a good deal of daft ones as well. One is a striker, one is who the Associate Directors will be and another is about more building projects or a combination of one or more. Up to now the grand announcements have been slightly underwhelming so it is hard to get enthusiastic about an announcement about an announcement. Fingers crossed this one might actually be exciting.
The big news is........erm........well no news at all. Somebody wants a kicking over this because it is becoming a joke. Where the boAllocks does the supposed club President get off telling everyone to stand by for absoutely nothing. I thought Argyle had gone past their communication disasters but it seems they never ever learn.

There are so many people up in arms about this fiasco on other sites even if some of them are now beginning to backtrack from their ire. I have read again that Mr President didn't actually say their was going to be a big announcement but he didn't refute the idea either when he had a chance to. I have asked him on another site, as he doesn't lower himself to come on here, if he will be doing what he stated he saw his President's role to be. That is speaking up for the supporters. He should be telling Brent that today was a disaster and he and the fanbase are not happy to be treated like idiots. Shock horror no reply so far. He might think we are because we buy tickets I suppose and there is a point in that thought. According to Rupert of the WMN you can read a great interview with Brent in the WMN and Herald tomorrow. Wow, can't wait for that one then.
Surely it isn't to announce when you can pre-order the socks and shorts Sensible ..... what a bloody let down !
I'm quite benevolent with things Argyle as you know but this one has really angered me. We have been waiting and waiting for some grand announcement all closed season and up to now it has been a let down. Having had hopes built up like this one did only to come out with a load of fecking crap is beyond a joke. If this is PR Bret style then it is going to wear thin very quickly.
This does seem to have been a rather bizarre and botched announcement, but what big news was anyone really expecting? The only subject I could see falling into the "big" category would be definite progress on rebuilding the old stand but given the council & planning are involved, it's too early for that. Surely we've been told time after time that the club will be run on a sustainable financial basis and therefore, despite the heavy discount available, we won't be seeing Andy Carroll or his like any time soon.......
My point is why build it up so much for so very little. I'm not expecting the moon but I thought we had signed somebody at the very least. Whoever it was who thought that branding this pile of garbage a "big announcement" wants putting in the stocks. Argyle supporters have had enough of bull. We have spent several years being fed it by the ton and having gone through the Administration process and being fed loads more you would think they would have a clue that it is not acceptable. With what Brent has said previously everyone expects a reasonable amount of openess and honesty. People want to like Brent deep down but a lot of very sceptical still that he will produce the goods and keep his word. There are many who think he might just be another developer with no intrest in the football. Taking the masses for a ride will only do him harm.
Oh my god, better late than never... The site has been redesigned!!! Actually it does look better than the standard generic fl sites but id rather hear we've re-signed buzsaky for 100 quid a week.
Hi everyone just got home...........spent all week checking teletext.......... in Hotel bedroom when we came back each evening to see what news had been announced......also newspapers............and of course the answer was ziltch. So turn on computer tonight all excited to find the answer is still ZILTCH.
