New suggestion emerging that once Chelsea have bought their ground back and identified a site for a 60,000 capacity new home, Stamford Bridge (capacity 41,800) will be offered to QPR as a ready made new ground, possibly as a ground share with Fulham (if they can sort out sale issues for Craven Cottage). This would enable Chelsea to investigate brownfield sites near the A40 without worry of being 'too close' to QPR, policing issues etc. It is thought that planning officials and residents/ local businesses would be supportive of this proposal.

Personally, I can't see Fulham moving. Our need for a new ground is more pressing than theirs.

Stamford Bridge, the home of Queen's Park Rangers? It'd be like wearing the second-hand clothes of the local ******...

    I've a better idea.

QPR build a 32k stadium in White City
Fulham increase their Craven Cottage capacity to 30k
Chelsea build a state of the art 60k stadium in Leatherhead or Crawley

    Everybody's happy

Would never happen. Is too far away from majority of Rangers fan base so we would have zero chance of filling it even half way.

And probably even more relevant is that Phillip Beard was appointed as our CEO for a clear reason. He was the man who turned O2 arena into what it is. Rangers will build a brand new 'multi purpose stadium' to bring in extra revenue and most likely be named to provide advertising for one of Fernades companies

Bhatia and Fernandes have to get their skates on. We have the advantage of being ready to move. We own our stadium whilst it may be months and months before Chelsea get their arses in gear.

We need to sort something out before they have a chance to try and bully their way into the White City area - groundshare or no groundshare.

If we moved to Stanford Bridge I would seriously never go again. Anyway this is never going to happen. Amit and Tony are football guys so wouldnt give a second thought to this even if Chelski scum offered us their crap hole!

I heard this put forward on the Steve Bunce show on BBC radio London last night by a caller (can't recall if it was a chelsea fan or not, i was too busy trying not to crash the car!). It seems to me as though this rumour maybe gaining legs from that.

Well that's worrying as I put it on here as a wind up ( the clue is in the thread title)- the idea occurred to me, and having a core of pure evil, thought I would post, light blue touchpaper and retreat a safe distance. Sorry lads! But the horror generated can at least subside a little now...

Not much of a clue. You phrased the text well - it's the kind of thing the Goons might have been interested in.

I will volunteer to blow up Chelsea's new ground if it came into the bush ... To be honest I have had enough recently ... The UK is going to pot so may as well go out with a bang
I suggest I tow my Trojan caravan full of Catherine wheels into their new site and go out with a whizz
Better still my family from Dale Farm are looking for a new place and I could direct them all to The Stamford Gypsy Expo SW6

The Scum will take years to sort out buying the pitch back from the idiots who own it. We will have our new ground by that time (I Hope!)
