Those Huns really are despicable ****s. St Mirren Board Statement â 27th March 2012 March 27, 2012 By admin Stadium TourIt has come to the attention of the Board of Directors of St Mirren Football Club Limited that a meeting took place in our Boardroom in November 2011. This meeting was attended by Mr Ken McGeoch, Mr Paul Davies and Mr Gary Withey, Company Secretary of Rangers Football Club Limited. + During the meeting Mr Withey had sight of and inspected commercially sensitive documents of St Mirren Football Club. At one point during the meeting the Clubâs General Manager was brought into the meeting and asked various questions including whether or not the Club used Employee Benefit Trusts (E.B.T.s). As a Director of the Company, Mr McGeoch had every right to inspect such documents. The Board, however, consider that his decision to show these documents to an Office Holder of another SPL club is a serious breach of trust and an error of judgement. In light of the information available to the Board, they have asked Mr McGeoch to resign his position as a Director of the Company with immediate effect. Should he fail to do so within the next 48 hours, we regret the Company shall be forced to call, at the Clubâs expense, an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company to consider this matter further. + The selling consortium of St Mirren directors were not informed of Mr Withey or Collyer Bristowâs involvement with Mr McGeoch until January 2012, at which point it had concerns over the involvement of Mr Withey.
Remember the story last week of Rangers trying to buy St Mirren, well this is the meat on the bones of that story.
In Paisley, maybe. it is just a St Mirren director (probably) resigning. I have no faith at all that Scotch journos will join the dots. Even St Mirren supporter Chick Young didn't use the "L" word last week when reporting it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17411645
What makes me beel more than anything else about this isn't even that they'd **** over another club in a ****in' heartbeat. It is the unpaid PAYE and NI. Even though it was obvious they never had any intention of paying it, the defence was raised (even on here) that amounted to the Huns moving from usual practices of paying their tax monthy to the possibility of paying it before 31st March 2012. With no revenue streams, this was, or course a far fetched defence. Even more far fetched after the club went into administration, given that that this was the inevitable outcome of their strategy.....Nonetheless, there were still Huns saying this wasn't a calculated cheat. This was of course bollocks. It was and is a disgustingly cynical cheat for which Rangers should be ****ed out of the league. The evidence was already plenty strong enough. Given this revelation, it is beyond any doubt that Rangers never had any intention of paying up and that Liquidation was the aim. This was already the suspicion of most, this serves as confirmation of it.
I appreciate that was bit on the rant side but it is all true. All this Craig Whyte CSC **** sickens me to be honest. Whilst Murrays cheating has yet to be shown one way or the other (I know what I think), Whytey has done it absolutely blatantly. And not just "man in pub" blatant. I mean beyond any shadow of any doubt. He has robbed the treasury. He has robbed me, he has robbed most of us, Huns included. That doesn't make him praiseworthy, even in jest. It makes him a ****ing rat bastard.
I can tell by the multiple double posts that rebel is beelin' How about some diazapam? maybe a 10 pound banger?
Nothing would surprise me about this, i said some time ago that the whole Whyte/Rangers affair stinks to high heaven, and i believe he had an end game all along. Be that liquidation or whatever, i think he knew what he was up to alright.
