were down too the last few hours of the window, and no concrete news coming from the liberty,do we think well get someone that will make a real difference ....i hope so. trouble is,after all the media gossip during the summer,i cant for the life of me work out whose on our radar, the positions are obvious, but names..well i guess well just have to wait
apparently we are interested in ADO Den Haag midfielder Jens Toornstra, ... Swansea look to boost midfield options with Toornstra and Lansbury signings. But Rodgers accepts the constraints on the club mean improving on what he has already got could prove difficult. “I hope to get some work done,” he said. “But the market we operate in is so small, so you have to ask are you going to be able to bring in better than what we’ve got? “We want to get a few in to consolidate the group and leave us with a bit of depth, but we won’t stockpile players, they have to improve the squad. “We haven’t got a long time and it’s just me and the chairman here – it’s not as if we’ve got a big, worldwide scouting network to call on – but between us we will do our best.” Looks unlikely we will get any players with prem experience before the window closes...
Not that bothered to be honest though I think I'm in the minority on here. I'm convinced we have goals in this side and we will start to click up front, hopefully. I also think we are going to be tough to beat, particularly at home. Keep being true to ourselves and we'll be fine. Btw nice to see us mixing it up with the odd long ball on Saturday. Don't think anybody's mentioned that yet. We are going to be too predictable if we don't do this from time to time during a game.
I'd be delighted if we brought in Matthew Bates for £2mil. We need cover at the back. Yes, it would be nice to bring in another midfielder or striker, but we all realise that this is unlikely to happen. Even without Bates, our squad is good enough to stay up IMHO.
Yes, here it is. Vorm has the ball. The opposition have pushed their 2 strikers right up onto Williams & Caulker preventing a roll-out. Danny Graham moves over to the right wing next to Dyer. Vorm kicks the ball out in the direction of Graham/Dyer. Dyer would never win the header in a million years, but Danny can and flicks the ball on down the wing for Dyer to run onto. I think that happened a few times v. Sunderland.
