There there, it'll be fine. This is all part of being a Saints fan. 8 games unbeaten now, onwards and upwards.

    Well I'm quietly confident.

The league will fluctuate, but we will do enough to get auto-promotion. Possibly/probably as champions. You watch when WHU don't win a game they should. You mood will improve. The Championship world will shake, and twixter, or whatever his name is, will keep as far away from this forum as he can.

Here are Reading's final eight games of the season: Blackpool home, West Ham away, Leeds home, Brighton away, Southampton away, Forest home, Palace home, Birmingham away.

Here are our final eight games of the season: Doncaster home, Blackpool away, Pompey home, Palace away, Reading home, Peterborough away, Middlesbrough away, Coventry home.

If we're in good form for that closing kick, it will take a Herculean effort from Reading to better us. Just have to accomplish the "good form" bit of the equation.

Eight games unbeaten, averaging two points a game over that stretch...it's clearly all falling apart.

Unbeaten runs mean nothing when you keep drawing

Erm, four wins, four draws, two points per game. West Ham have exactly one point more over their past eight.

Quite likely. But being a quality WUM means having at least one foot planted in reality; arguing that a team is going to pieces while matching one's own team step-for-step is the sort of thing that just makes you look silly.

Why should West Ham be any more consistent than anyone else..? Have you forgotten their result against Crystal Palace..? Crikey, how amazingly defeatist before the competitors have even got themselves sorted.

Unless you're a WHU fan, of course. ;)

Love these West Ham WUMS. They are so sure of their promotion but what is to say they won't enter a dip? Still a long way to go and all it will take is complacency against a team they expect to best (our Bristol City) and the doubts will start. Don't predict your promotion because as they say. The Fat Lady hasn't sung yet.

I'm increasingly unsure that trixter is actually a West Ham WUM. If you look at his history, it appears that each and every one of his posts is on our board.

And which conclusion do you draw from that..? The result is still the same. A wind-up.

Which, btw, I would hope Saints fans take zero notice of. The only evidence anyone need take is the table, and how it will stand at the end of the season. How we get there is in the hands of the club.
