PCH comment on the Wycombe site include "it´s somewhere I am wanted" maybe just the usual sign speak or something else.....

From what I have read Blizzard seems a more central player we really are lacking width. 3 signings this week was what I heard now if that was new faces or included re-signings not clear however if signings in general Harvey, Blizzard and ??? With Gurri and Bhaz still not confirmed I am hoping he was refering to new faces.

Still a lot of work to be done to have anything like a warm feeling about this squad.

....."it's somewhere that I'm wanted".....what the hell is that all about......he literally played every match....so it's not as if Sheridan didn't pick him.

Maybe he was hard work and Sheridan wasn't impressed or that impressed. I wasn't expecting any of them to leave that were under contract so this one has come as a bit of a shock. Having watched him, I think he can play but isn't always on song and a bit lightweight. Given criticism of his tweeting habits I've read maybe he isn't as focused as he should be. Not bothered about him going one way or the other.

Interesting just looking on the Argyle website and in the squad Gurri is listed however Baz is not perhaps things have already been decided regarding our missing left-back. It is not fully up to date but neither has signed as yet but only one has been removed?????

I read somewhere that Gurrieri will be turning up "for work" tomorrow (Wed) and signing his contract.

Bhasera on the otherhand has not yet had the decency to say yes or no.....maybe things will be clearer tomorrow.....maybe Sheridan has got someone else in mind....costing less than Bhasera.....who it is said about has been offered less than his last contract.

I think Guerreri will sign when he comes back but I think Bhasera is gone which is not too much of a shock either way is it. We have been expecting Bhasera to go long before now. I think the time to announce some signings for the masses to get excited about, or not in most cases with Argyle fans, has arrived. So far the silence on signings of any note have been lacking and it isn't a wonder that a number are dreading the next season once again. We need something to enthuse about. Almost all of our signings over the last couple of years have been met with a sigh rather than a cheer so I won't be holding my breath as I can't do it for that long.

John Sheridan has announced his new backroom staff.....

Ex-Argyle player Sean McCarthy,is first team coach....176 games in two spells with the greens scoring 48 goals.

John Harbin 65yrs old,Performance Manager...working on fitness, strength, conditioning and psychological welfare.

Rhys Wilmot another ex-Argyle player working with first team goalkeepers.

Brother Darren Sheridan 45yrs old will be chief scout.... been involved with John at Oldham, also been a player with Barnsley,Wigan,Clyde & St Johnstone was player/manager at Barrow winning the Conference North and also the FA Trophy.

Plus last years promoted from the youth team coach....whose name slips my memory at present.......this is light years from Fletcher's ragamuffin outfit that started last seasons league Div 2. Although a year further away from administration Sheridan obviously has more scope.

Hopefully there will be some more additions to come before the start of the league season......personally a proven goalscorer is still needed and possibly a replacement for Bhasera might be needed.

I am very optimistic for the new season as long as we can score goals and not depend always on the defence to get us a result......keeping Dominic Blizzard fit will be an issue,we do have the backroom staff now to work on that part of the teams needs.....so upwards and onwards with the Greens.

One more area that needs to be kept under control, off the pitch squabbles between the usual so called super-fans which can upset and damage the unison of the club.....I shall not mention any names.

Herald Sport have said.... that they understand that Paris Cowan-Hall moved on a free transfer.....why was that...unless Sheridan was happy to get rid of him, I couldn't see how Wycombe could afford a transfer fee for him,so there might be some truth in that then.

Herald Sport also say that.......Sheridan has made inquiries with Crystal Palace about bringing back Jason Banton. With Palace now in the Premiership, Banton will probably end up further down the pecking order as they try to strengthen their side for a very hard season in the top flight.A little cheeky maybe but it might work, when they recalled him they still didn't play him once.

Bhasera has gone walkabout before so it maybe unwise to speculate. I would be disappointed if he did go: has the pace, athleticism and muscle mass to unsettle the opposition!

Blizzard is an unusual signing - played 60 in 2 seasons for Yeovil in a higher league than us, so not just the sort of cast-offs we've had to endure recently!

It does seem from what I've read that Bhasera's wages cannot be maintained at the level that he was receiving from his previous contract.......so Sheridan has offered him something more in line with the present wage structure.....so Bhasera who was player of the year last season might be feeling a little miffed with the offer that Sheridan has offered, he needs to say yes or no....surely that's not too hard for him to do....he isn't unreplaceable and as I've said above he might be searching out a replacement from Palace.

With Blizzard.....we have been there before...a player who hasn't always been fit......but not as bad has some of the more recent sickies that we have gambolled on.

I think we had this before though, possibly while we were in administration, he seems to get his agent to tout him around the leagues to see what is available to him. If there's nothing better, he'll be back to us, all very casual. So on the hands of the football Gods I suppose.

If Bas goes no biggy we can get a proper left-back and winger. He is a better athlete than footballer IMHO defensively naive and positionally weak when attacking final ball poor, vision poor, shooting dismal. He has been one of our better performers I agree but think that just shows how low we have sunk.
Malbon rumours still floating around would be one more for the future though. Still think the team is very narrow need some out and out wide players. Banton would be interesting although their are a few at HP who made some interesting comments when he left last time.

I still think Banton is a lazy git who scores goals. The last bit being the important one of course but given he can find the net yet isn't included in his current side says a lot for me. Clearly his manager thinks he is too hard work as well. It's up to him if he comes back here. Knuckle down and prove himself worthy and he could go far. Continue with his lazy attitude and he isn't ever going to go anywhere his obvious ability would allow him to.

BWP with one leg knew where the net was.....who needs two legs when you can score goals.....so Banton is lazy....maybe he's just lulling the opposition into thinking that he is no worry......I'll give him a chance....although Branson has an opinion about him if I remember correctly.

Well we have enough hard workers, who could not score with a handful of pardons in a female prison, so a lazy goal moocher would be welcome. If we could get a couple of goals and then give Harvey or LeCointe a 20-30 minute run out without the pressure of trying to rescuing a point for us it would be much better for their development.
Working with McCarthy will help the 2 of them come along and hopefully develop the talent they have shown already.
Banton may well be playing possum with the defenders, used to hate marking that type of player, problem starts when he goes a few games without scoring. Very hard for the manager if the goals dry up and you bring nothing else to the team, it will be a problem for him if he wants to go higher level. Look at Hernandez at MU guy scores for fun when he plays but spends a lot of time on the bench.

The West Country Messi as he allegedly known to the fans, I know we have more than our fair share of special cases at Home Park but seriously does anyone call him this!!!!! Some creative journalism or have things really got that bad at HP.

Janners sorted out that little Argie upstart, Maggie just undid the leash <laugh>

It's a misprint Mexijan it should read "the Westcountry Nessi" He's reputed to be a monster in training but is seldom seen elsewhere.

100% on the second comment though.
