Will Atkinson signed by Southend, decent signing for them. Palace sign Gayle so Banton pushed further down the pecking order, think he will be loaned out this season just where? Also signed Thomas, left winger..... come on Hollow give us Banton, loan or free transfer will do.
Play for half the money....when he can sit in the stand and watch the team sweat for theirs.....he might look stupid at times but not that stupid.......maybe when his contract runs out....or if Sheridan pays him off to leave.
I see that Charlton have released BWP.......too expensive for us these days.......and has he still got it...knee or no knee ?
Crystal Palace's boss Holloway is planning on taking Dan Gosling from Newcastle.........Holloway was involved with Gosling at Argyle and gave him his first start.
Bleddy Dan Gosling is a bit of a sore point for me plym, We gave him his start and all the rest of it and then he went and blew it with Everton when we should have gotten a sell on percentage. I know Everton cocked up but it is still gaulling nonetheless. Lost us around half a million which to a club like ours is a very lot of money.
This squad watch is like watching paint dry. I keep waiting for that get excited about signing and it ain't happening. They kick off preseason games very soon so come on Sherridan get your arse in gear.
We´re not signing, we´re not signing, we´´´re not signing anymore....anymore We´re not signing anymore Come on sing along now!!!! Ok Shez do not make me get on a plane and come back there, get your finger out and get some X´s on a couple of contracts.
Problems solved then no need for any new signings, 3-0 against Villa, Premiership opposition, we are a shoe in for promotion.
Spurs next...... That would be Saltash Spurs. Gentle start and Morgan gets 2 pens. If he can manage that in every game then we should win a few. When I posted my first comment above I didn't realize it was the first game tonight. That's how exciting they are.
So really only a fitness exercise against a Premier SW Peninsula League team.....seems their goalie played a blinder. We used nearly two seperate teams for each half and to win only 3-0 including two penalties would have been seen by Elburton as a good result. Seen as Plymouth's third best team after Argyle & Parkway they haven't done too bad after starting up in 1982 and that will be PAFC's shortest journey by far this coming season.
Not surprising really Young has the potential to do very well, buzz I get is that Allen is possibly a better talent but mums the word. The Academy is really producing some excellent prospects at the moment, which is about time considering the size of the DJM, it is something we have failed badly at in the past. Shame it is when we are in the bottom league and everyone is picking them off us, still in Championship and I do not think we would have lost the ones we have in the last couple of seasons.
So the Elburton game seen as a fitness exercise !!! Not for Branston.Alessandra, Chadwick.Dickson and Gurrieri all injured in training before the match. Rannankari came off in the second half injured....concerns now about if he can continue his trial period.
It was bound to be a fitness exercise so no great shakes there. Bleddy spies everywhere. I think Young has potential but if honest I'm not totally sure how much. He is young and he has done ok by being chucked in but not so sure he is future premiership potential. Still, if they want to pay us a couple of million and promise to take Chadwick as his baggage handler then it's ok by me.
This year will be a big one for Young he could really step up or be another nearly man. To judge him on first team performances is not really a true indication of his potential. Having seem him play as a youngster he really stood out and his control, vision and passing ability was excellent. He really needs to play off a ball winner and dictate the play, holding midfielder is really not his strength. Thrown in at the deep end a bit last year as you said. Him and Houri are probably not that good a combination tbh. Hope we can hold onto him although if the price is right we will have to take it.
