    Sort of like strikers having the No.18 shirt - for example, Defoe will be wearing it for the forseeable future...

    Yeah. There was a player I saw once that had 8+1 on his shirt, think it was someone playing for one of the Milan teams, looking at a good 7/8 years possibly longer though when I saw it. Can't remember if it was a competitive fixture or not though.
