Meyler at no.7 does seem weird. No.4 or no.8 suits him more.

Isn't it a 25 man squad that has to be named for the PL, if so I count only 24, so maybe 1 more to come in, or just saving it for McLean if desperate?

I think it's probably the latter - you don't have to have that squad registered until deadline day, so I think it will be filled by one last signing.

Rincon would be most likely for me.

Might explain why numbers like 18 have been left vacant - one more signing?

the final squad number could be for Cairney on his return, or maybe we are looking at bringing in 1 more.

It can't be for Cairney. By the time he comes back there will be a new 25-man squad confirmed and he can't play for us before then.

From what I recall if he does come back then they get to redo the squad in January due to the window, so doubt they'd leave it for him.

I'd like to see Fryatt in there somewhere, maybe for Dudgeon but it looks like the 18 that most would go for.

That's the luxury we now have, squad depth with players that are playable and not just making up the number.

Some other players not received squad numbers, but if they were, probably wouldn't count in the 25.

    Joe Cracknell.
    Dougie Wilson.
    Conor Townsend.
    Calaum Jahraldo-Martin.*

We've got 2 spaces. Brady doesn't need to be in the 25, he's only 21 and because he's already had his birthday this year he can go on the U21s list for this season.

You need to check the previous page. The numbers are out now.

You also probably didn't read it somewhere - the pic of Huddlestone has him holding his no.8 shirt.

According to Brucey, it's still Koren.

He apparently hasn't got a vice captain yet.

    "33 Proschwitz"

I thought he would have been 99 at least!

The squad looks good. You'd only really worry about 16 and he should be a long way from getting picked - to be fair to the lad he seemed OK except for the high profile blunders. Faye and Prozzie are the only one's who there could be serious doubts about but in both cases they also could do well.
