R Dean Taylor was the only white Motown act at the time and this track is massive on the Northern Soul scene

 

The Fall covered it too

 

The Fall did some decent covers

 

But these guys are the kings of '60s covers for me

 

The only time I saw the Fail they did ghost in my house , which was rare I was told as the bloke I went with had seen them over 50 times

 

I remember those days...just like arguments in pubs, they could last forever. I recall "what is a banana?" ran on my local for years.

Fruit?

Herb?

Spice?

Disgusting?

Now, all you have to do, is Google it. It's a berry, the tree that it grows on, is a herb. Done.

 

I'd have just brought one along and plonked it on the table.
