Happy 45th birthday to the album Damned Damned Damned. I know where I was when I heard it, who I was with and what I thought about it...pretty much everything is still pretty clear in my mind. It sealed a love that burns as bright today as ever it did. I hope that the reunion gigs go ahead and that I get to see the four of them set aside their disagreements for one last, glorious hurrah!...but increasingly, I fear that time will win out over them, as it does to us all in the end.
I'm doing a lot of travelling at the moment and Leonard Cohen's music is accompanying me , one track " so long Marianne " reminds me of a friend who passed a few years back and this was one of her favourite tracks , Leonard and Marianne Ihlen were lovers and he wrote to her when he heard she was dying Marianne died July 2016 and Leonard died November 2016
I remember that from the time - beautiful letter, Cohen wrote beautifully in any format, Song, poem, letter. This is of the same vintage
Always remembered for WSOP, but they were one of the most innovative early prog bands. This was my favourite track of theirs. Actually remember buying it as a single!
