I really don't think anyone has ever called the European Cup 2nd class. The Fairs Cup/UEFA Cup/Europa League certainly but the European Cup, never by anyone.

We've had some other good results in this fixture down the years. The 6-1 in 97 and then the 5-1 at Wembley a few years ago. I don't expect anything like that but it would be good to get the win tomorrow. We really ought to have done the double over Spurs last season.

It's not just about beating Spurs, it's also a great chance to leapfrog Arsenal as well. We need to get our season up and running.

This is a dud comment. Generally speaking, the point of having a good keeper is to keep the ball out of the net. Or am I missing something?

OK, here how it works. Once they give you one you have it forever. That's how teams have more than 1 <doh> (Apologies to anyone over 5 for having to explain that) so we will forever be able to run were the **** we want with it.

Sorry to burst your bubble but up to 2009 you had to win it 5 times or 3 on the trott to keep it. Since then you only get a full size replica. The only British team who have a cup to keep is Liverpool, you should not have tried to explain something you don`t understand.

How is it dud? Arsenal completely outplayed you despite the media backing you to win.

No it would be the one we won the year before actually... And I wouldn't call that one 2nd class.

And if it is 2nd class why haven't you won it? You've had many opportunities... We won it at the first time of asking.

What game were you watching? 6 defenders at the end of the game - yes sure signs of a team outplaying someone at home.

Will your ass licking of the goons ever cease.

We had pretty severe injury worries in that game; I am sure that if we had had midfielders to bring on, we would have.

Very good first half for Spurs, but I would be a lot happier if we were two goals up.

Chelsea look dangerous, as you would expect them to be.

    Muppet.

Proved we are still a superior team to Tottenham today. Spurs are not title candidates yet in my mind, but they're still very good for top 4. If we play like the second half against most teams we can win.

Torres was unlucky with the red card, but it was coming from somewhere. Vertongen conned the ref though.

Vertongen is a disgrace and couldn't handle Torres. Chelsea would have won with. 11 men on the field.

We should have won that in the end. Never a red card. And Vertongen you cheating ****. Holding your head when Torres never touched it. Townsend as well diving... 10 men and the spuds couldn't beat us... Heads high Chels. 3 very tough away games over with. Spurs title contenders!? Good ****ing joke

Spurs did well to get a point. Under AVB they've had a good habit of picking up points against the run of play. They're a very good side but I've seen nothing to suggest they'll be title contenders. They are only being talked up as title contenders because all of the usual suspects have had tough starts (on paper) and not picked up the required points to be top.
