Sheffield Wednesday come back from the dead to win 5-3 on penalties.

Followed this on BBC website....Peterborough battered for 90 minute and fall to an equalizer in the 90+8th minute.

The stress levels where high for everyone at that game......so so pleased Argyle didn't put us all through that......winning the league allowed us to sit back and watch them all tearing chunks out of each other.

Bolton and Barnsley tomorrow will fight out for the right to play tonights winner.

I watched part of the game in which Sheffield Wednesday delivered a miracle recovery from a 4-0 defeat by Peterborough in the first leg of the playoff final.

Clearly this was a high pressure game for both teams with a lot at stake but I was struck by how rudimentary the football was. Big booming balls into the box non-stop.

The debate is on about recruitment for next season but one thing Argyle didn’t so is to bring on a bunch of big strong lads. We brought in footballers.

Horses for courses though notdistant. Clearly the big boys worked this time even though I agree with you and wouldn't want to see it as a norm.

BBC Sport Wales are saying that Swansea manager Russell Martin is set to be Southampton's next manager.

Southampton are yet to make an official approach to Swansea for permission to speak to Martin......but they are confident the 37-year-old will be their new boss as they rebuild following Premier league relegation.

Steven Schumacher was obviously not in the frame for that job......but it will effect Morgan Whittaker... who a new manager would have to assess before his future is decided.

We are NOT getting Whittaker no matter who the manager at Swansea is.

I don’t think we can afford him as Rangers we’re willing to pay £1m. However, Swansea seem to be in crisis with owners thinking they are coaches. Who knows what the fall out may be?

It’s unlikely I agree but all’s fair in love and war. But if there’s an advantage to be taken, take it. I think we might be pushing at an open door as far as the player is concerned,

notdistant, I said that Sheffield were dead and burried before leg 2. My stance is that if I say often and loud enough that something won't happen then it just might. Grasping at straws yes but it's all I have got. WE ARE NOT SIGNING WHITTAKER.......

Morgan Whittaker proved with our coaching that he was a good Div One player.

With that info his parent club could see £ note signs dancing before their eyes....and recalled him on the chance that they could make a quick buck or two and make their bank manager happy.

But somehow they cocked it up and lost a sale.....and started using him as a subs bench jack in the box....first a whole game then five minute here and five minutes there....not really long enough to prove anything about him.

So the only thing that Swansea have established about Whittaker is maybe he isn't a Championship starter and Div One might be his level after all.

Swansea when they first reached the top rung impressed me as a good club competing above their weight.....Now I see them as a greedy club about to lose their manager.

Morgan Whittaker is a player who started to show he had ability and was then put back in his box by greed.....and if we did get him back and that is starting to look unlikely we might discover that he is only a Div One player anyway.

We played Whittaker as a No 10 and he looked to have class to spare in that position. Class to burn to be honest . The Swansea manager made it pretty clear he thought Whittaker should stay at Argyle as he had other more experienced players for those positions and he’d be unlikely to get much time on the pitch at Swansea.

He has appeared now and then for Swansea but we don’t know in what position or in what circumstances.

I think he’d be played in a role to suit him with us and grow into a big player in the Championship. I’m very doubtful we can afford him and it would be wrong for Argyle to bet the farm on one player.

I think Swansea where unbeaten in their last 10 games and finished something like 10th....Whittaker was down the pecking order and got generally 5 or 10 minutes at the end.

Thinking on that.....he was never going to be a Swansea starter.....and it seems more obvious with hindsight that they where expecting to sell him to Rangers for a nice little profit.

    Welcome to the Championship.

Relegated Wigan will start their League 1 season on minus 4 points having failed to pay players’ wages. Another 4 point deduction has been suspended and will come into effect if their owner does not pay funds into the club by May 24th or if they fail to pay wages again.

The owner of West Brom has refused to answer questions about a £5m loan he has taken from the club and used to prop up his other businesses. This season. West Brom will lose the parachute payments it has been receiving and is lumbered by a £20m loan at high interest rates.

They left that late in the day. Anyway I now know. I will have to wait until 5th June as I will be doing mine in person like last time. Don't quite see why it has to be a fortnight before you can go there in person but still. Technology is great when it works and I have had enough with it not doing so online before.

Hmmm. I read the initial announcement taken together with the Evergreen page, as meaning Evergreen would rank equally with last year’s Flexi ticket holders. Perhaps that applied to ad hoc sales only as they now have a week’s start on buying season tickets.

The family area is moving and that corner is not a bad spot. Bearing in mind the chances of getting 4 together in the Lyndhurst are minimal, I might try that.

Michael Cooper is suggesting that he might be available for the start of Argyles' championship season in August.

This news might be of interest to Birmingham, Swansea & Reasding who have shown interest in Callum Burton who has been valued at £500,000......maybe we could do a deal with Swansea regarding an offer for Morgan Whittaker ?
