It would seem that they have not got a clue!! What are they on about the Watford/reading match being replayed?? And I think they mean the reading players werent apealing for the goal.

What?!?! "Very sportingly"?!?! The reaction of some of the Reading players destroyed any respect I had for Reading. You possibly could not get further from the truth!!

You can just tell that they didn't really know how to close the article, so just made up an ending that would fit with "good ol' Reading"!! Nobody would notice...

Is there a list of the "top ten worst pieces of sports journalism of all time"?

That beats the Football League Show last year.

"After the 'ghost goal' two years ago, that's another key decision that has gone against Reading"

    Or something along those lines.

I'm sure The Sun's ten most recent back pages are online somewhere.

This thread is right to highlight this rubbish. The Reading players celebrated the "John Eustace OG". Don't forget we lost Mart Poom early in that game and Loach was making his debut. And we nearly won the game.

If Reading had admitted the error and let us score, I am convinced they would have won the game. But the injustice (plus Eustace's booking was upheld) spurred the team on to nearly win the game. Steve Coppell and Reading lost 2 points that day, if they'd played fair they would have won.
