Online polls are completely pointless, all it takes is for one leeds/leicester/hull sharks fan ect to put a link to the poll on one of their forums and it's open season for trolls.
What I said, numbnuts, had nothing to do with statistics. Radio Humberside were reading tweet in favour after tweet in favour - if you care to search twitter for @humbersidesport, you will see the tweets they are receiving. They were cherry picking the in favour ones for some reason, and not selecting from the negative ones, which were in the clear majority. I do hope that clears things up.
Finally some balance... http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ull-city-he-can-do-what-he-wants-8755064.html
Congratulations! You were one of a select few on Sports Talk tonight who made a lot of sense and reflected the majority of our fans' views. Massive respect for you for that.
Very well said. I was impressed - especially with your backhander at the previous callers. What is the Preemiership btw? I really want to see one now...
Oooh oooh someone called in who didn't agree with my point of view.... must be a fix. OOh oooh someone else called in who also didn't agree.... must be a conspiracy because all my bum chums on here agree with me.
Thank **** we don't have a dolphin or whale as our mascot... EDIT: ****, that's Japan.... racism at its worst
I am very much against the name change for many of the good reasons expressed amidst some more hysterical ones. But have to say that a lot of the drivel spoken on sports talk was from those against, not those in favour. The classic was the guy who said 'What next? Will they change the colours? ' Er, given they want to call the club Tigers and have just changed the kit back to amber and black stripes, can I suggest that's a bit unlikely? And then someone else said: 'We have always been City - what will our nickname be now?' I humbly suggest the nickname might be The Tigers - just a thought. Bit of hysteria on both sides at the moment. I actually think some studied indifference might be the best policy. I don't want the Allams to feel they aren't wanted and this is nowhere near as bad as changing the club colours in my opinion - but neither do I want to give this change my support as it is disrespectful to supporters. Finally, I think the national media will have moved on by tomorrow.
I didn't even listen to the show but as soon as Macca said a lass called in and knew what she was on about I thought of you and very nearly posted 'bet it was juleskaren'. I wish I did now, it would have been a hell of a punt.
I could not care less. They are still City to me and I suspect most others.Had we gone bust and reformed under a new name it would still have been City.I suspect if most on here had to go to west yorks to complain they could not be arsed. It really is no big deal.Things change.
or maybe forum keyboard warriors on forums are the minority ? you know the people who have lives and **** and can look past the "argue for arguments sake" thing ... its still 11 players on the pitch in hull city colours .. some people maybe over the years entrenched themselves a little too deep into the AFC trench (even though they would have never chanted AFC in any chant .. ever) ... but hey ho ... lets get on this bandwagon instead of trusting the owners who have done nothing but deliver even in controversial circumstances (Barmby) ... if not .. well then got a spare £60 mill ? ... then buy the club .. no matter what people rant and rave about .. its about the figure of money to own the club ... that's life nowadays ,, especially with "supporter revenue" being less than 10% of total club income .. do any of you think you still really matter ? .... well you dont
CCT InfoTech ? ... careful now If not then thank god the allams have moved forward in that area at last !
Listening to it now, http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p001d7lp Do we really have this many idiots supporting our club? And Geraghty sounds like he is reading a script!
