no wonder martin allen was happy to keep hessy on board...it's due to the fact of talksport commitments ! 3 hours of moonlighting lets hope we get some gillingham fc questions asked...gazza fee,, payne, incomings etc or some premiership talk for brb
I listened to about the first 15 minutes but then had other stuff to do, did not realise beforehand he was going to be on there for three hours. If they start talking about the pampers league I would switch off anyway. Did Martin say anything of interest in relation to Gills after the first 15?
I listened to it all in the end, he did not say much more after the early bit about Gillingham only at the end he talked about Directors being good and that more clubs should have them and how he is getting Hess to see the West Brom one.
i only listened to the first hour last night, but just run the last half hour again and heard martin allen say that he has had a talk with kenny jacket at millwall about a couple of his players being available ? i also see that martin allen said after the friendly last night that he wanted to sign a couple more...which would depend on scally, seeing as it's his money i sure hope we see more than another couple of players coming in, on top of what we have now ! for me players like fish, frampton, martin, montrose and even kedwell to some extent will not be consistent enough and thats where we will fall short, as well as that left wing position...we need to add now !!!
I did hear a story from Peterborough that we had not actually paid for Lee and Whelpdale yet so that might restrict the budget if they want their money. Might explain why Scally was so keen for Jack Payne to go there ?
Shaun Batt(striker with lots of pace) , Tamika Mkandawire(big centre half) These 2 have been suggested on another site!
Did anyone hear the bit near the end where clubs actually employ someone to play championship/football manager to assess how players do in different formations/positions! That would be my dream job!
Yeah Everton do that but they are not the only club, I knew about that already as they are not the only club to use a strange way of player recruitment as Yeovil used Twitter to ask fans who they wanted.
