I don't see any evidence, other than a ranting statement from Legias chairman, that this is true. I can't see that Celtic could have stepped aside as such. Celtic were not put through as a result of Legia being expelled. The result was amended and coincidentally this meant Celtic won the tie. Celtic can't ask UEFA to ignore their rules any more than Legia can. If you want Celtic could have spouted push about how they want Legia to go through in a statement, but lawells nose would have been growing by the second. Instead they have maintained silence and stood by the rules of and decisions of the organisation who write them their biggest single cheque every season.
The problem is *****s buying into the "more than a club" pish that gets peddled. If you're a gullible misty-eyed ****wit then aye you probably believe all that nonsense. Whereas if you're a practical and reasonable person you can easily cut through all that bullshit and see the actual reality of the situation.
Do you honestly believe that anyone else would give a flying **** ? Or that it would change how other teams or uefa acted toward celtic ?
I want Celtic to be playing at as high a level as possible. If we do that within the rules, then I really don't see the issue. I have no interest in Celtic acting the martyr for a PR exercise that, quite frankly, nobody gives a **** about except us, Legia and Rangers fans.
Yes I do Football is money obsessed and it is sickening If a club could show that they could turn their back on money in a noble gesture I think they'd be remembered and respected for it It depends on what your priorities as a fan are I suppose
So you'd happily sell out a place in the Champions League, which Celtic were gifted by UEFA, for the remembrance and respect of Huns & Poles? Some Celtic fan you are, you're nothing more than a attention whore. Hence why you rim the Green Brigade; because that's their mentality as well.

"If your staff had spent as much time checking the eligibility of players for matches as they do at writing elongated, ill-advised letters, they would still be in the Champions League".
Legia lost a title through match fixing. Everyone in Poland hates them. Their charge sheet at UEFA goes on for miles - their fans are arseholes, their owners are cheating, bribing arseholes and they still bear a lot of dislike in Poland for the way they were essentially regarded as the state and the army team under Communism. ...and then they have the cahunas to attempt some "let football win" ****e They're Polish Huns. **** them in the nostrils
Yes, if we did that I'd be quite proud of the club but we never will No I'm a hopeless romantic who views the days of greed and a sterile support as disheartening. Your dream of Hibs 2 is well on its way it seems
