I think if it had been a straightforward assault case then that guy would have got done, but because they now have to inject sectarianism into everything to do with celtic then that clouds the issue a bit. celtic scored - lennon turned and wound up the hearts fans hoping for a reaction - some drunken fan reacted and ran on to the pitch to have a go - celtic people start inventing people shouting bigoted stuff - it was against celtic so it must be sectarian. the law in scotland has given itself a major problem by taking the celtic view that if you are not a celtic fan then your actions must always be sectarian. the legal system will always have problems dealing with cases until they stop discriminating against people just because they are not celtic fans.
