Posted myself a few times and been monitoring the responses to Sparkey. Like most boards, a bit of a mixed bag. Quite a few reasonable posters and then.....

    .......Sparkey gets some sport.

Their manager of the month thread was funny. Playing down colins award by saying LJ had won it as well. Sparkey listed colins roll of honour and they got a bit grumpy.

I've got no problem with 90% of the Wurzel (there's that word again <laugh>) posters - they're very decent and can chat without spite. They can tend to be a bit parochial to the extent that they only want to talk about internal matters, but there you go.

The biggest issue some of them (very few in fact) have is the lack of ability to exchange views and opinions in a jovial manner and get all upset when you challenge them.

If anyone wants a laugh and a good bit of banter with some very knowledgeable posters who are up for anything, have a look in the Leed's forum. It can all get a bit random up there on times and you'll need a thick skin - but then that never bothered me. <laugh>

Having married into a Wurzle family, I can say with some authority that a fair few of them are fine, however, I think the biggest issue most of them suffer from (this goes for many family members and friends on this side of the divide) is that due to the fact they are the biggest team in their city (sorry Rovers but it's true) they do suffer from a lack of humility.

They tend to forget that apart from the odd Welsh Cup and LDV/Sherpa Van/Johnstone's Paintpot Trophy, they've achieved the sum total of bugger all in their entire history!

This does tend to mean that reality can become a little distorted with them...

Well, it's either that or the scrumpy has genuinely rotted their brain cells (may actually explain why my missus thought marrying me was a good idea actually! )
