Hi, I thought I would post here to congratulate you on your victory against us today and also on the unbelievable run Leicester are on. If you stay up now (which is looking very likely) it will be one of the greatest escapes in history. I for one made the mistake of writing you off some months ago and was trying to work out who the other two teams would be who would follow you down again. I've always liked Nigel Pearson, back from his brief spell as our manager when he kept us up. I know he has come under a bit of criticism in the media lately for his attitude towards the press but you wouldn't care if he was streaking in every presser as long the results keep coming! The better team won today and won comfortably, we seem to have given up whenever we should be fighting for a Europa League place. The Leicester escape has grown to be a big interest of mine in the last few weeks and I really hope you stay up.
Thanks, it's always nice to hear from genuine visiting supporters. I would also like to say thanks to the Southampton fans who clapped Matty James when he was being stretchered off early on.
Thank you I dont think any of us saw this coming but the escape certainly isnt over yet - we have two big games to make this absolutely certain first - as it stands i cant see 37 points being enough given Hulls goal difference and the game against sunderland is HUGE - just dont lose it! We have had a few people comparing our structure and model to that of yourselves and to be honest thats what we are all (quite ambitiously maybe) hoping to achieve - we have the fanbase, the financial backing, excellent youth facilities and youth academy and, before the season even began, knew that it was all about staying up this year and then trying to push on.
I dont often lose hope, but i did this season. Lets face it, if you told me we needed to win 7 or 8 games in our last 10 to even stand a chance i would have laughed, because we hadnt even got back to back victories at the time. What they have done in the last quarter of the season is unbelievable and the fans have really pulled them along too. Every home game, you hear a commentator say "rocking" at some point. Its great to see a group of players that could have been resigned to championship football really get behind the manager and step it up to win matches.
Yes the game against Sunderland will be like a play-off final! Never liked Sunderland so I'll be cheering on the Foxes in that one. Good luck for the rest of the season lads, hopefully we'll be in the same division next year.
Glad Tottenham lost so you're still in with a shout for the Europa League. Here's hoping Arsenal do you a favour in the FA Cup final too.
Trevor Francis on NBC today commentating, said he can't remember the last time he experienced such an incredible atmosphere in a stadium at a premier league game. Stadium literally rocking. Sweet!
Just popping in to congratulate you for Saturday. I think we made it easy for you, but your lads worked their socks off and deserved their victory. The bit that impressed me the most was simply the noise from the crowd; a credit to your team. Good Luck.
Thanks fat. Amazing what a difference a few pieces of cardboard can do to change the atmosphere. Good luck on your Europe quest.
