As I said previously the next three games were must win games, sitting bottom on goal difference is A backward step today. Loose the next two homes games and there is only one place city are going. Leroy summed it up well regards the gas and them making changes, our leaders seem so blinkered it is beyond me.loose the next two were are going to need to change it.
Excellent performance & result today...now we must take it forward to the next, must win home games...COYR's
BJA,I agree with you 100%,our boys got a result and more of it I say, well done Delboy and his team....
Everyone expected us to lose, so it's a point gained imo, sounded like a great performance were we could have won but obviously the other results have but a downer on the positives
Don't let this "excellent, amazing, phenominal" draw against a fellow poor team papper over the cracks. We are fighting for our lives with below average players and a manager out of his depth. We are 2nd from bottom, drastic changes are need. In other words this January window. The game against Watford is huge, I just hope someone tells the players.
Who said 'phenomenal' ? I haven't heard that anywhere?? It was a good draw, and very promising as some of our players are coming back from injury and are seemingly unscathed. Not holding my breath, but I will always be positive before any City game until I die
Dont be so negative FFS! We got a well earned draw at a place I've never known us get anything at all. Other results went against us yesterday, but that's football. It could have been different but it wasnt. No one would have seen Barnsley winning at Millwall or Peterborough scraping home 5-4 against Bolton. All we can do is concentrate on our own performances and boost our own survival chances by finding some home form which is well overdue Think ouselves lucky, we could be bottom of the entire football pyramid like another team I could mention and in grave danger of going out of the Football League altogether, never to return. COYR
It's obvious to me that the players much prefer playing away at the moment. Hence our reasonably decent away form. I think they fear playing at the Gate at the moment because instead of getting behind them and encouraging them, we are more concerned with moaning and booing. It's no coincidence we started winning home games last season when we got more bums on seats and actually supported the lads. Therefore this Xmas please just support and encourage instead of ****ing moaning. I'm not happy clapping and believe there are a lot of inherent problems within the squad but what can we do about it!? Nothing! Del is here to stay so suck it up and stop your moaning. It's the away teams who should fear playing at the Gate, not the home team!
Sorry Matt I have to disagree, Sitting in the eastend one thing we do is get behind the boys as soon as that whistle starts, This "scared" of playing at home is a load of bollocks and a cheap excuses to hide behind the fact that the players are actually **** and the managers got it wrong (AGAIN). Theres nothing to be scared of playing infront of the home crowd we should be scared of watching them.
That was a well earned draw at Ipswich. Well done everyone. If I believed in Father Christmas, my wish is that on Boxing Day, I will be magically transported from central Portugal to THE GATE. And I will find there thousands of passionate City fans who from start to finish will give the team, whoever is on the pitch and whether your favourites or not, TOTAL VOCAL SUPPORT. It's a team game and that includes the fans so if Santa does not deliver, let me hear you all while I'm listening to the radio. Come On You REDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shiny I applaud you lot in the Eastend and I'm going to be brutally honest here. It's the other 3 stands that are quiet. Yes we can hear you but not a loud as you seem to think you all are! From where I sit we hear you lot and the away support which drown each other out. If you sat anywhere else you would understand what Matt is saying. Well done to you lot in there it's all the rest of us that let you lot down sorry.
I really don't understand why the rest of the stands don't sing, I couldn't go to a game and just sit there. Standing and singing is what makes it more interesting. Try and get a song started ROD
We do sing occasionally, i wish I could take you back to when I was younger going into either the old open end, the enclosure and A & B block back then you heard the singing walking from the park prior to kick off. Weirdly enough back then we were big fish in the first division (the old 3rd) playing at the top end of the table, we had more fans then.
So in the score prediction thread you predicted a 4-2 defeat, and we got a 1-1 draw and that's not good enough? Why?
See i'd be more positive if our players actually turned up and put in performances at home, but that doesn't happen. i have a right to be fear the worst.
its a shame, as soon as i see a Lan_Lodger posting i move onto another thread as I cant stand the negativity. Our boys did their job yesterday in avoiding defeat, unfortunately Bolton and Charlton didnt do their part of the deal. But onwards and upwards boys.
I agree with most of what is said on this thread. It's a positive draw not a negative, next thing a clean sheet, then onwards and upwards. (Whoops sorry forgot the medication!) Must stop the rot at the Gate though. Gives me some hope over the xmas period though.
Bigger picture is that despite the 3 teams below us winning, we did get a point away from home We MUST turn this promising away form into a good home performance
