If he can chip in with a handful of goals before the end of the season, that would be a good return IMO

With Evans now injured, Meyler 1 card away from a suspension, and Cairney still injured? we could be a bit light in centre mid for a few games

Very wise Andy... very wise indeed :)

ALl Im saying is us city fans seem to have this habit of expecting certain players to be our saviour when there really isn't much indication that they will.

Same thing happened with Ghilas when he wasn't getting a game
Same thing happening with Cairney at the moment
Same thing happens every time a player is injured or not starting, when things go wrong we just cling at the hope that such and such player will come in and solve all the problems simply because he hasn't been playing in a while, which I think is simple delusion. Why don't we focus on what we have on the table at present time and putting our hopes towards that.

    Next will be Proschwitz

but he isn't is he. Koren/aluko are.

and it doesn't really matter what he did previously, when you have such a serious injury, all those past stats go out the window because no one knows how he will return from it. Most likely, as in , most cases, off the pace, out of shape and scared of a repeat injury

Possibly but personally that's hoping more than anything considering the injury he's recovering from

Good news on Sone but the season will end before he is fit to play. But should be ok for the party.

Fryatt and Evans should both be available for the Udders game after the International Break,.

Looking good squad strength wise for the Final Push. imo

Fathi is far better than Evans and would have been starting had he been fully fit. You'll see how good a player he is over the remainder of the season. He has far more dimensions to his game than Corry who will be a good player for us but has a lot to learn.

Yeah, but Fryatt has played one cup game this season, that's all. Aluko/Koren have had 30-35 games to get just as many goals between them as Fryatt did all by himself last season. If we can get him up and running, we can look forward to having a really strong option back in the squad.

As for coming back from injury, it hasn't stopped Hobbs from going into tackles or shirking out of stuff and I bet it won't have affected Macca or Faye either. And they're defenders, so they know that there is a risk they'll come out worse off, where as it isn't Fryatt's job to win tackles and work hard in midfield. Meyler is another example; has been out for the better part of 2 years but now a solid midfielder for us who loves to get stuck in. I wouldn't worry to much about his recovery, Matty is eager and loves scoring goals.

Fryatt can score goals, but lacked the conversions from the opportunities gifted;I would like to think that the 'niggle' that required surgery was the reason for this. Aluko had a bit of a fade and the same probably applied, but it does signal just how long Matty was played carrying the injury. Whatever is the case we need one or both to take their chances.

Fryatt can't be 'past his best' when we haven't actually see him play in more or less a year and he's only just 27.

He's a good striker who I'm sure will give us a good extra option. It's just a case of whether he's learned to shoot and how often he'll be having one of his moody days. Remember he scores in patches and sulks in patches too. In the 5-6 games he might be involved in we could have a red-hot striker or a pointless one.

What do you ANYMORE, never been good enough. Only looked good as we had no other striker . missed far too many chances more than he put away .
Would be difficult to get in present team.
