I always liked this one from Carlos Edwards, one of the cleanest and most powerful strikes of a ball you could ever see.
That was a great goal mate, but wasn't in the batch I had because it was in the Championship and I got mine from the Premier League site..
Aye well fair enough, I'd forgotten about Sean Thornton, what's he up to nowadays I wonder? He had a bit of ability but a coke problem if I remember rightly. I liked him though, we didn't have much flair in the side at the time. Edit: can't find any evidence of him being a coke fiend but he wasn't behaving himself off the pitch that's for sure.
I love those shots that have a speed and trajectory that suggests they will eventually end up orbiting the earth but happen to pass through the top corner of the goal on their way.
It was still rising when it hit the net such a was the power. Ronaldo couldn't hit that in 100 attempts. Murphy wouldn't hit it again in 100 lifetimes.
****ing epic megs. Got to love the commentary "has to be 80, maybe 100 yards out!!" I mean that's the entire length of a pitch but I know how he feels haha.
Just as good but all the more impressive for it being on his left, beautiful technique on Leadbitter's goal too, huge amount of swerve.
I don't think I'll ever forget this one. http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...4BDC37D0B7ECAE962D624BDC37D0B7ECA&FORM=VRDGAR
