We Had two slots left on our 25 man roster. Bessone took one. I don't think we are going to assign the last one to a veteran like Campbell. The Hungarian on trial maybe.

Players under the age of 21 (for the 2011/12 campaign those born on or after January 1, 1990) are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players.

Brendan Rodgers' Swansea City squad contains 23 players as follows:

Vorm, Williams, N Taylor, Tate, Bodde, Britton, Stabilin(Orlandi), C Beattie, Graham, Sinclair, N Dyer, Dobbie, Routledge, Monk, Cotterill, Lita, L Moore, Moreira, Rangel, Agustien, Gower, Butler, Tremmel.

The likes of Joe Allen (home-grown), Jazz Richards and a number of other young senior players are available but not included in the list above as they were born after January 1st 1990.

With 23 players confirmed, that leaves two spaces free, and with deadline day signing of Fede Bessone leaves us 1 space. So i am guessing it very much depends on this lad from Hungary impressing in the short time he has... Either one or other...

That leaves the question, does Brendan want Prem experience (all be it over the hill) defender or gamble with Zoltan (The destroyer) Liptak..

Guys, just as an aside. Why are you including Tate in the squad of 23/25? His injury keeps him out until the New Year, and by that time we can re-issue the 25!! On a similar thing isn't Cotterill the subject of a move by a championship club?

I was thinking the same thing JS about Bodde.. Changes to the 25 man cannot be made until January.. Strange how BR put both long term injured players in the list... At a guess, if a player leaves on loan it will free another space on the list??

Someone posted a link to the FA rules, and it said if you don't have too many (ie if you don't have more than 25 pros ages over 21) then you have to register everyone on your books.

I could be wrong, but I'm sure that's the upshot of it.

Sol Campbell was past his best 3 clubs ago he will be found wanting and i would rather risk someone untried and a lot younger who might be a quick learner.if i had to i'd give the Hungarian a shot

sol Campbell as an emergency cover is a good move........at least he knows what premiership football is all about, he has been there done it and got the t-shirt. an ex England international with experience to-boot, we could do far worse than a nobody.

He can't have made an immediate impact in training because Buck wants to see more - says he wants to see him play for the reserves then make a decision, probably next Wednesday.

He's probably a bit rusty through lack of games but if he replicated the sort of form he showed in the video, he should be a shoe-in. The fact that he hasn't is a bit worrying. I liked what I saw, though, and if he could play like that for us Caulker would have his hands full getting back in.

Perhaps its not ability and conditioning that's slowing it down ... maybe it's attitude. There's always a reason why he's not with a club.
