Why is there so much disparity between the value of Arsenal players i.e. Fabregas and Nasri and other players in the the league?

Barcelona are only willing to pay £35 million for Cesc and Nasri hasn't been valued above £20 million.

When you see the transfers of Andy Carroll (£35 milliom), Fernando Torres (£50 million), Jordan Henderson (£20 million) why aren't we asking for more? :headbang:

Fabregas is better than any of the mentioned players, so he should be valued at least £70 million.

    Thoughts?

arsenal valued cesc at over 50m and would value nasri at 25m.

Not because of them as players but for how long they have on their contract and their worth to the club

Nasri is entering the last year of his contract, so that negatively affects us.

With Cesc it is different. We do not want to sell, and Cesc himself has stated he only wants to leave us for Barca. It becomes a personal thing, we don't want to create a situation where Cesc becomes unhappy at staying but don't want to sell him on the cheap. Thus we have set a price that we feel is reasonable, but at the same time know it is difficult for Barca to match. Also, Barca are not desperate for Cesc and can play a waiting game. If Cesc becomes deperate to leave for any side then we can start pushing the price up and let a bidding war commence, and Barca will know they have to act or miss out.
