We have limited funds, need to buy and need to sell, yes we would love this player and that player but, how do we make the best use of what we have?

Goalkeeper is the easiest, sell either Gordon or Westwood to raise funds.

Back 4, we keep Bardo at RB with O'Shea to cover.
We keep a CB pool of O'Shea,Brown,Kilgallon and Turner and sell Bramble sending The Greek home, first choice CB of O'Shea and Brown
LB we use Colback, gives him a starting berth and saves cash.

    Defence..

    MIG
    BARDO...O'SHEA...BROWN...COLBACK

Midfield is where it gets harder so lets come back to it.

Strikers is easy, we need some and Bendtner will not be one of them. Sess, oh Sess, will he stay, is he a luxury at present, is he a striker, I'm not sure so help me please?

Back to midfield, Maclean on the left but, Larsson, Cattermole,Meyler,Vaughan,Gardner,Richardson, Colback, Elmo and the kids.

I would guess that Gardner, Elmo and Richardson will go but who else and who comes in.

Tell me who we sell and what that brings in.

Lets hear some realistic buys and give me your realistic team for next year.

Well we will make no money on Gordon. He'll walk away to a team for free. I imagine though that he is on good wages. So we would save there. Mig and Westwood would be good enough. Personally I'd like to see Westwood given another shot in goal. Don't think the lad made a mistake when he had his chance earlier this season.

I agree with your first choice pairing at CD. However the big problem we have with that is they are injury prone. I would like the club to sign a proper left back. Bramble can go for me. Proper dodge pot we could do without in my opinion.

CM well we need to sign someone with pace and power. I would like to see Sess' tried in CM or even Larrson given a go there. On the right we need some pace and a challenge for Larrson.

Up front we are a shambles.

Overall I think O'Neill really has a very tough job ahead of him. You could really overhaul everything but you wonder if we need a bit of stability.. Not another merry go round.

Mon has had enough time to assess things and should be able to improve us.

I would let Gordon leave because he is on around 45k a week I am lead to believe.

We need to get players off our wage bill to be able to make room for new players.

Gordon is a canny keeper but is to injury prone for me plus I would rather see Mignolet be given the number 1 shirt as the lad has a really big future at the club

    Sess = £15m
    GYAN =£10m
    Richardson = £5m
    Gardner = £5m

Mon could have £35m to play with just from sales, plus the wage bill will be eased by off loading Gordon, mccartney, riveros, angeleri, Bendtner, bridge, kyriakos.

    Two strikers
    left back
    creative midfielder
    keeper
    centre back

    Coming in hopefully

Colback, Richardson, Killgallon or anyone else for that matter currently at the club are not left backs. Why we keep persisting with make do full backs is a mystery to me tbh.

    Gordon

    Bardsley, O'Shea, Brown, Warnock (£2m)

Johnson (£14m), McGeady (£10m), Gardener, McClean

    Fletcher (£6m), Agbonlahor (£8m)

    £43m spent

Mignolet, Turner, Killgallon, Larsson, The Djib (£3m if QPR are relegated), Colback, Meyler
    Total spend -
    Sell:

    Sess - £15m
    Vaughan - £3m
    Cattermole - £5m
    Westwood - £1m
    Gyan - £7m
    Richardson - £4m
    Total - £35m

This will mean between £5m and £10m additional funding from Ellis, to invest in new players, which realistically will be well within his thoughts IMO. All players are realistic targets and all provide better than what we have and a lot more pace. I believe even Johnson is not out of our reach, as Man City will buy again this summer and where does that leave AJ?

    I would go with...

    Out

    Gordon - free
    Angeleri - free
    McCartney - 500k
    Bramble - 500k
    Elmohamady - 1m
    Vaughan - 1m
    Riveros - 500k
    Gardner - 5m
    Gyan - 10m

total - 18.5m + (we must be due abit from the Bent transfer) + 20m invested from Short

40m will be enough to improve our squad

Id love Johnson but i honestly think the team you have selected is worse than we have now especially up front, Sess is so key to everything we do and Bendtner although a little lazy has been great especially in keeping the ball and lifts the football of our team with Sess. The midfield you have sounds exciting but isnt that 3 wingers (well 4 if you incluse Agbonlahor because he likes to drift out there a lot). Ive never been a fan of Warnock either, i would be scared if we started the season with that team. These are just my thoughts of course, dont take offence :)

    Id like to see

Gordon (still could be a top goalkeeper)
Bardsley (solid and one of out top performers)
Oshea (has to be centreback though)
Brown (has looked good, need fitness level up though)
Neil Taylor (has looked great in his first season and so comfortable on the ball) 4 million
Moses (getting better all the time, could already be out of our range though) 12m maybe higher
Catts (brings good balance with the right team)
Colback (deserves further first team chances)
McClean (needs no reason why, just such a breath of fresh air)
Sess (need to keep this guy, and playing with Moses would be slick)
Adebayor (i would have said not but has scored 13 this year, which surprises me and in a struggling villa team that is good) 6m

A team like this could be great couterattack team, so much speed, maybe a little height challenged though that would be my worry.

Feel free to shoot it down lol

    Gabby Agbonlahor mate..He hasn't scored 13 this season...i don't thinks so anyhow...

Or did you mean Adebayor at Spurs? would cost a fortune and stupid wages.

Moses plays predominately from the left so where would he fit with McClean in the side?

    Id like us to sign

    Paul Robinson 1-2m
    Figueroa free
    cuellar free
    Diame free
    Creative cm 6m+
    Matt Phillips 3m
    Fletcher 6m
    Rodellega free
Proven goalscorer (should be prepared to spend 10m+ on this one)

    Around the 30m mark

I think Moses, McClean and sess would be clever enough to rotate around.

But got to say Phillips is a good shout!

One thing to remember is MON played under Brian Clough who twice turned average players into Champions
