i couldn't tell from the Burnley game as I had an unclear stream but seeing him live at LR, it's clear he is fat! He's got some booty on him.

Yep, 'fraid so. Perhaps not 2 stone as Harry said but maybe one at least. Fine when he got the ball but was never going to run anywhere at any great speed.

It's about 3 months since he was accused of being overweight you would have thought that was enough time to get trim?

But obviously Harry was lying before and Adel only put this wait on in the last two days due to an allergic reaction to a bee sting in mid-Winter. Adel is perfect and it must not be his fault. In fact, he's not even fat, it was an illusion because we wanted to see that he was fat so we duped our own selves into seeing he was fat.

And somehow Krancjar lost it all! He's looking in better shape. He'll never be fast, though.

Yes..........if they're Ronaldo, Maradona or De Sisti!

When you're not a genius you can't be carrying weight. You won't get away with it these days.

He made more things happen in the attacking third when he came on than our other forward players did in the entire match. At the minute I'm not concerned with what weight he is, if he can benefit our attack leading us to perhaps win matches, then stick him in the team.

Redknapp said to him in the corridor post game that he still needs to get himself fit. I would concur with that. Its obvious really.

LC, he came on with not long to go. Carrying that weight, would he be able to give you 100% energy for 90 minutes? In fact I don't know why we're even discussing this. The fact that he won't keep himself right despite being payed 50-odd grand a week is appalling.

Agree swords. My point wasn't that he would be able to do it for 90 minutes. I concede that fact. My point being he just looked far more dangerous in the attacking third than anyone else did, despite carrying that weight. Made some really good passing as well. Here's hoping he can get himself fit and benefit us in our relegation struggle. Like many others, perhaps I won't be holding my breath!

Agree, LC. I thought he played quite well when he came on. He tried one silly trick and gave it away but otherwise he created space for people and put people through. Lose the weight and he starts every week for me.

It's such a shame, if he applied himself and we could actually play 3-5-2 and make it work he'd be ideal as the central playmaker. He's his own worst enemy...

My point in this thread was not about whether he can play or not, it was about them fact that everyone said Harry was lying but the evidence is right in front of us now. People defend Adel in such unrealistic ways at times.

He's playing quite well now but he's still a knob.

<confused> really is that just the current management or all the others he's failed to get fit & produce under. Whilst he's undoubtedly got talent he's his own worse enemy & only himself to blame, but to the Tarb believers he is the messiah & can do wrong no matter what<doh>
