Wolves fans would have said the same to you two seasons ago.

they would have done, yep! I'm not saying it won't happen, but I was just showing the same overconfidence my friend here showed.

In all seriousness snodgrass would supply competition down the left and that can only be a good thing.

He's not a winger, I'd bundle him with surman, but he is quality

It'd be a coup if we got him

    1. Johnson was never one of our best players, not even close when you signed him from us. Most said he'd fail in the prem and then he surprised a few. The only reason fans hold onto him as being stupid to get rid of is because he hasn't done half bad in the prem and it also is another reason to hate Bates.

    2. We were pretty good when we had those players, we were one of the top goalscorers in the league (if not the top goalscorers) and would've got promoted if it wasn't for our poor excuse of a defence.

    3. If you think Johnson and Howson are good, Snoddy is better, especially when on form. Does sometimes go missing though but I have always blamed the fact that we play him when he is injured and don't let him fully recover

Not a massive fan of Johnson - he's ok. Howson is a great prospect. Snodgrass is somewhere between the two in my opinion.

Well I'll disagree with that but I think if you guys do get Snoddy, you'll be paying more for him than you did Howson

You've certainly seen more of him than me, so I'd accept your appraisal.

Would be more than happy to have him here. Guess we'll have to wait to see what transpires with Leeds.

Arguably, Snodgrass has more potential than Howson, but we all know everybody doesn't always live up to their potential. At the moment, Howson is a better player than Snodgrass, and there can be no doubt about that!

According to today's Daily Fail, we've bid £5M, which maay well tempt Bates' resolve!!!!

Also rumoured we're after Joseph Yobo from Everton.

Well thats kinda what I was disagreeing with. I actually think Howson always showed the potential an everyone was confident he would/will get there. He always showed that he had the ability and the commitment but never the consistency. Snodgrass, when on form, is absolutely fantastic to watch, you just want him to have the ball constantly because the ball is stuck to feet and no one can tackle him, pair that with his set pieces as well and I think that practically every leeds fan would say that currently Snoddy is a better player than Howson or definitely when we sold Howson he was anyway. Havn't seen that much of Jonny since his move away

IF howson carries on from last season then he will be in the England squad by the end of this season. He was magnificent in many of the games he played and that was coming off the back of a lengthy injury. Johnson started off well but then dipped and disappeared on form but as soon as he linked up with howson again he rediscovered the form on which he got touted for a England call up.

As for Snodgrass, I'm not expecting him to sign for us. He will either sign a new contract or he will be a villa player. Would be a terrific signing for us, and improve competition for benno and pilks.

It really is good to see you Norwich fans rate Howson that highly and I do for one hope he does well, he's quite a likeable player (unlike Johnson). England call-up looks unlikely for both Howson and Johnson given the players coming through at the moment for England but if he can really find that sort of form for you guys it wouldn't be completely of the radar

Well it looks like snoddys off, but to who?

It's hard not to get involved In the fact that villa are with us to sign him

It will be another big step if we get his signature, and a bloody nose for lambert PRE-season

Lambert wants snodgrass bad, we shouldn't underestimate that. I trust his judgment.

Also like to add, last time we bid, Mr.Bates decided to publically reject the bid and said something along the lines of choking on his food or something! this time Leeds are refusing to comment, which sometimes means a deal could well take place!

not strictly true. the daily fail suggest he is rated at £5m by leeds, there is no mention of what the bid was. i've heard it was closer to £2m which won't get him, so we will have to increase to around £3.5m if we are likely to see any chance of movement imo

I like Bradley Johnson to be fair, I remember watching at Northampton a couple of times and he looked like he had potential. Maybe with a little more pace and I think he would be a great defensive midfielder, he does have tendency to make suicide balls or just misplace a pretty easy pass though and a couple of times panicked when ball has fallen to him in our own box.

Howson has been brilliant, I think if he keeps his form into next season ALOT of people will be touting him for England.

I agree with the general consensus I don't really see Snodgrass as a Norwich player as the outcome.

I think Villa will come calling and they will offer more wages than us.

I think you'd be surprised. I think a few players are on good money at villa but not all of them. I think villa are trying to tighten their belts as well, hence signing Paul lambert who has the skills to bring in players on not a lot of money.

I wouldn't count us out yet
