That's something I brought up last season; we have lacked ballsy leadership for too long. Dawson was often injured and I think CB isn't where it should be - we have needed a midfield general for quite some time. If and when we buy players we need to look at their character, their 'best position and their fitness.
Would Tan-man return? Can't see it happening..Not with the Alarms in charge...Its made for someone out of work, wanting to get back in vis-a-vis Nigel Adkins.
You should be our manager Bring in game tactics from Scarborough, reintroduce standing and smoking in the stands (and all that other stuff about concessions and using the name) That'd get the fans back...then force the Allams out by playing Trojan albums at full blast from a massive sound system every time you meet them to discuss anything...really really loud (I'd like that, but I suspect they have different musical tastes)
I said £40m not €. It's really not a lot of money when Everton were paying similar figures. Say what you like but even Bayern don't spend anywhere near what our top sides do. Man City spent £150m this summer on full backs. And when they do spend, it's usually on players in their early 20s. Completely different to our mentality Also the players you've quoted were over several years too.
He probably didn't get much done, Ehab would have told him that 'strategy are what me and Dad excel at, go and pump up some footballs'
Bayern spent £77 million this summer. They usually buy the best palyer from their nearest rival in the bundesliga too.
My brother-in-law has managed Long Riston and Hornsea Sporting for years now, I've told him to get his CV in..
They operate in Euros. Hence €41.5m makes Tolisso the record signing for Bayern. Also the record signing in Bundesliga history. So the £40m you quoted is wrong, they paid €40m for Javi Martínez. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...lyon-bayern-munich-transfer-record-bundesliga
