Well NP certainly played a direct style of football when he was with us and I'd be surprised if he'd change it at Hull given the success he had with us. Certainly from what I saw of you last season the football did seem to be very direct but maybe that was exagurated by our passing style. Like Emilio, I have great respect for what Pearson did at LCFC and we probably wouldn't be in the position we are without him. Personally, I prefer to watch football that is played on the ground and by teams who pass the ball to work openings but we can only judge who's style is more effective at the end of the season. But for now all this talk of 'Our squad is better than yours' and 'We've made better sigings than you' is pointless and unsubstantiated as it is all dependent on the end result.
The Hull City fans were actually crying out for a target man last season, we didn't have one for the whole of 2010-2011. Adebola won't start every game either. As for Hobbs, he will be playing along side somebody like Ayala (if he signs) or Chester, who are considered ball playing centre halves. Hobbs is 'no nonsense', but it doesn't mean he just rods the ball up the field at every given opportunity. Your point is yet to be proven
You have just proven my point. Adebola is a target man and Hobbs hoofs spherical shapes as far from his personal space as he can.
Read the ****ing post you mongrel You clearly can't take part in a considered debate, so I'm going to leave you and your brain dead board to talk amongst yourselves about how great you are, what a prominent leader Sven is and the latest silly players you're rumoured to be going for. Goodbye ****ychops
Okay then Have Hoofbs and see if your not complaining by the turn of the new year. I hope your neck can take the stains from next season.
Your last seasons defence wasn't practical neither was it! How many times do you need to be told, we sold you a bag of ****. The lad didn't want to leave us and we forced him to a club who believe they have a real coup.
Yes but none of last years defenders will be playing this season, except possibly Vitor, who plays for Benfica, and as an individual is a great talent. Schmeichel is no world beater yet but he's talented and has age on his side. As with every post regaring Schmeichel I direct you to Chris Weale and Ricardo.
Poor Cameron suffered a bad knee injury and is out until October, as a consequence he only made 14 appearances for us, only one of which was televised and that was Boro away in a foot of snow and would give no indication of a players ability, particularly a skilful winger(we're almost never the features game on the FLS show, we're not considered fashionable enough, I can remember only one game being featured last season and I've no idea if Cameron played in it). All of which is somewhat academic, as it's fairly obvious that our friend here doesn't really know anything about him at all. He was a revelation for us last season and losing him to injury played a large part in us falling short at the end of the season, he was our main attacking threat and with him out the team, we looked far less dangerous. It looks like we've got a temporary replacement from Man United in the shape of Robby Brady and hopefully he'll be back in time for you to see him in the flesh on Dec 3rd.
If you don't like that I don't rate him then fine. But I don't know why you have to be on here when its just a personal opinion of mine. I watch a lot of footblal on the internet and he strikes me as someone who wouldn't get into our team at the moment.Raw talent yes, but he doesn't have a football brain. Not very strong but is fast and tricky. But he doesn't go looking for the ball he waits for it to come to him and is often just standing on the wing looking pretty gormless. He can go 5-10 minutes without touching the ball. Gallagher is twice the player of him, Steward (IMO) is just another run of the mill Championship winger.
