With Sky basically taking over the live F1 coverage, am thinking of upgrading my fone so that I can access live mobile feeds.I have Sky Sports on my tv and Sky Go on my laptop but my current Samsung Tocco won't cut the mustard.

I've been looking online for a while, but not sure what fones Sky Go actually support (other than the iPhone).Just wondering if anyone already uses Sky Sports live streams via their mobiles ?

Apologies if it's not strictly F1 related, but would welcome any feedback, cheers.

I've got it on my iPhone and iPad, works a treat. There's no client on the WebOS devices yet, which is a shame as in my mind they are closer to iPads than the android devices are. That aside, I've not found the Sky Go app on our Motorola Xoom, so it looks like an iPhone is your only option unless win 7 mobile devices have the ability to stream.

That's not all bad though as the iPhone 5 is out next month so iPhone 4 prices will come down.

Very interesting information there Bobbinz: thanks. Actually I think I'll refer to you as Bob Boffin!

However, as for the subject of Browser's thread; I'm not interested in Murdoch's ruinous plan and have in fact cancelled my Sky subscription in a personal protest at what he, Ecclestone and News Corp are doing to the F1 fan base. I also see the Murdoch long-term strategy (mostly James' because he's got a lot more time on this planet) as an insidious takeover of F1, further monopolising, and therefore manipulating F1's 'pay-through the nose' audience.

And I for one will not ever contribute to Murdoch's power again…

It's not just Murdoch playing power and money games. When I was at Silverstone they cut the 3G signal just as the race started, meaning that all of us with smart phones and tablets that had paid good money for the FIA official live timing app couldn't use it and instead had to pay £70 for the kangaroo TV. Needless to say I'm per suing a legal route with that one :)

Oh dear. I'm very sorry to hear that Bob. I often work at Silverstone and did not know of the problem. I sincerely hope it was an accident and will ask around, although I will not be able to help personally.

    Good luck.

Thats a bit naughty if true. When I was there in 2010 I was able to get 3G, was handy to explain why Vettel had to pit on lap 1.

Cheers for that Bob, I'll probably do as you suggest and wait till the iPhone5 comes out, then hopefully get a better deal on the version 4.

Cosi, totally agree with your sentiments regarding Sky but am loathe to cancel because am going to lose so much live sport, even more now F1 is on there. At a push I could watch via the numerous live streaming sites, but it's just not the same as watching on tv.

Also, this gives me an excuse to get a shiny new iPhone !

and I though it was just me that detested the Murdochs and all they stand for - good to know !
I have no objection to people exercising their freedom to spend their hard-earned money as they wish, but I haven't bought any Murdoch product for about 25 years, for the reason cosi gave. (Sorry, that was not a rubbish attempt at a pun, it just came out that way.)

Me, I've never ever knowingly passed any of my money in the direction of Turdoch and will actively avoid reading any of his newspapers, when are they going to arrest the bastards and lock them up, including complicit PM ****e Cameron.
