Well, photos from training sessions indicated, he was "in situ", as it were... (I'll get my coat...) but we haven't heard since. I'll do some online digging now and see what I can find.

Everything online seems to indicate he's our player. I guess it's similar to when a player is denied a work permit? I don't think FIFA are rejecting the transfer, just that it was done in time, which makes it even more ******ed. Having said that, I hate that teams wait until the last second to tie these things up. He's young, cheap, and has had major interest before so looks like he could be a good signing for the future, should we really have waited until midnight on deadline day to tie this up?

I agree Scott. Although this cockup was another club's fault it could have been avoided had we pulled our finger out.

Thing is phil how transfers were done on deadline day ? And how many were unsuccessful ? The answer from what I can garner is 2 , we managed to sign bessone on that day, why was he given clearance and the others not ?

All this crap about transfers, we were going in for a player who was already playing in the premier league, we are in the premier league !

The other player is an eu citizen plying his trade within the eu , what about his right to work in the UK on the basis of birth in the eu ? Really it's sheer ****e and this would never happen if it was man utd or liverpool et al, the scum agents grease enough palms in FIFA to make sure of it, the whole FIFA organisation are a corrupt bunch of tossers, I know personally one such person in there, his connections to various mafia in the Ukraine and Russia is very well documented.

You make it sound as if there is an agenda against us Jager? thing is we are here now in the Prem, and we need to be more Professional in our dealings, and act with the class, that our status deserves, I'm not getting into the blame game over this, as even with the background that you have painted, it's still up to us to drive these things through correctly, yes paper work can be a nightmare, but we should have someone capable at the club to progress chase these through all the way, and it would help if we didn't leave it till the last minute, given the obvious issues regarding our so- called foreign status, we don't need to give ammunition to inept bodies like the FAW, or FIFA for that matter!.........

What a waste of talent. FIFA or UEFA take a good look at yourself. Here we have a young player desperate to play football, who will now sit in the stand. Shameful just Shamefull. Get it sorted.

It's not directed at us specifically phil, just in general the big clubs get the leeway that smaller clubs don't , that £30m transfer would go through no problem as it's 'big' clubs involved and enough palms are greased to make sure, the whole system stinks, and it's designed to ensure corruption can exist !

Jager, I have to agree. FIFA and UEFA to a point only take care of the big boys, us minnows they don't give a toss about. The annoying part for me is that it looks like it's actually not the Swans fault and the "buying club" with the paperwork, it's the supposedly larger clubs that seem to mess it up. Can't stand FIFA corrupt bunch of ego maniacs headed by the biggest one of the bunch Sept Bladder!!!

Adding to the above, how did Crouch transfer get through, when apparently the deal was signed after the transfer deadline had closed. Is there a stat to show how many of the deadline day dealings failed to go through?

As usual it's one rule for the "big boys" and another rule for the rest of us, if one of the Manchester clubs, Chelsea or one of the Spanish giants had wanted this lad, well I'm pretty certain it would have gone through,,,,,,,,,,,,,the ironic part is picking up gems like this lad, is far more important for a club of Swansea's stature (not a dig BTW) than it is for one of the "big boys".................picking up players like this could be important in helping Swansea establish themselves in the PL, yet the powers that be raise obstacles..............if he was destined to be a squad player at Man U for instance........it would have gone through no problem,

    it stinks <ok>
