Hi all, I noticed earlier this year, that the above AOBrien horse was very well bred and expensive purchase and quoted at just 25/1 for the Derby next year, without even running. He is still that price having still not run as a 2year old.

Question is, does anyone know why he hasn't run this year? Is there an injury?

Sometimes they can be a little bit backward, sometimes they can be injured.

An example of a well bred horse that never made a racecourse as a two year old is RULER OF THE WORLD. However, it is mere guesswork in racing as the media reporting around injured/unraced horses is very poor and with injuries especially the public are the last to know.

Just make sure any antepost bet is something you can afford to lose/risk. It would be a complete punt.

Entered in 4 races at Leopardstown this weekened, maiden and group 3 on saturday, maiden and listed race on sunday.

The mile maiden on Sat looks the most likely I think.

Tell you what, given how mediocre AOB's RP Trophy runners look, Sir Isaac might end up towards the top end of his Classic assault next year. A lot of ifs and buts between now and then though.

Full brother to Secret Gesture (2nd Oaks). So should get the trip. Cost 3.6 million, hope he's worth it.

Probably came up against a good one in Zawraq. By Shamardal out of a Sadler's Wells sister to Ghanaati (so tracing back to Height of Fashion/Highclere/Feola). Likely to have been suited by the going. Another arrow in the Hamdan recovery quiver.

Saying he's a likely miler but wouldn't be surprised if he got a bit further.

The two pulled a fair way clear I imagine they are both above average and I would go as far to say Sir Isaac Newton could be the best horse AOB has ever trained even <whistle>

Most of his two year olds where behind this year but he always gives a clue away when he enters them in maidens usually a derby group. Ol man river john f kennedy highland reel Sherlock holmes smugglers cove and order of St George and sir Issac newton where all entered in the same maidens where obvious the didnt all run in same ones. Just remember the last mathematician physicist they named one after was ? Well I'll let you guess. I personally like homeland
