Me thinks Sir Alex doth protest too much.... the truth hurts (even if De Gea was nailed on for this weekend) and she definately touched a nerve! If it wasn't an issue, why react in such a manner? I think Lidegaard may have rattled the internal/paternal cage of Sir Alex's mind a little with his performance! Sir Alex has never been able to manage two keepers succesfully.... he only has a number one, and I think something surprised him tonight.

If only Drogba was available this Sunday, De Gea wouldn't be stopping any of those shots.

Liverpool fans are jizzing in their pants over this "incident". The media are trying hard to paint De Gea as Taibi part 2. Glad to see SAF stand up for his players in a no-nonsense. Liverpool aren't in Europe and feel they can be part of the scene via- Kelly Dalglish lol!! Wonder why she doesn't bother her dad about his comments on referees. On their forum one poster said he hoped she would be at all his press-conferences....what Liverpool are now reduced to.

Yeah Drogba's record of 3 career goals against United (only one in the league and that was offside) strikes fear into De Gea's heart, as does Drogba's prolific form in the last 12 months.

I would be far happier from a United point of view if Torres started upfront instead of Drogba. Torres is a player with no confidence, and I feel our defence would have him for breakfast. Drogba would be far more dangerous, particularly without Vidic. Vidic recently has proved the perfect centre half to deal with a powerhouse like Drogba. Drogba may be strong but Vidic is the toughest and bravest centre half in world football, no forward will physically dominate against Vidic

Torres looked alot better in the game the other night though and in fairness he is due a goal and it would be typical for him to make his return to form against united!!

That's how I felt in the Champions League 2nd leg and look what happened. Torres started, was ****ing awful (don't remember him giving Vidic nightmares?) and Drogba who is twice the player Torres is come off the bench and scored. Glad he's out of Sunday's game.

For me Mata is the dangerman.

<laugh> You clearly haven't seen Drogba strike a ball, would absolutely rape butter fingers.

I agree, I can't see us benching Torres though unless Anelka is prefered. Mata I'd agree with, but ignore Sturridge at your peril <devil>

He hasn't been raping many teams for some time now and has always struggled to get any change out of our defence. He actually would need to get a shot in and hit the target, something he doesn't habitually do against United.
