Singling out players to criticise is ridiculous, unless that player is explicitly showing a lack of intent and effort. Currently, the whole team and system are out of balance. It's unrealistic for us to expect one of our players to be playing at 100% when the whole team is out of shape.

I think some people have really strongly expressed disappointment about certain players who they're hoping will change everything for QPR's fortunes but it's not that easy.

I say stop giving individuals a hard time as it doesn't help. Hopefully MH will deal with any players who aren't putting in the effort and care.

And lastly, am I the only one who keeps accidentally saying Mick Harford instead of Mark Hughes? Same initials!!

You're right but there's not much to talk about if we don't. So... I find it strange that Onouha seems immune from criticism :)

But isn't that exactly what MH is doing, in deciding who makes up his next 11?

And aren't we, on this board, trying to second guess the manager? You can't do that without evaluating a player's performance

Yeah....... in the end it all falls on the manager. After all, the players are pretty much stuck with the team whereas the manager is available for sacking. If only Sparky would just step up and fess up that he hasn't got a clue.

Yes, more heat should obviously come down on the manager. The players are only trying to follow his directions.

But with that said, I think we have to understand MH and other senior people and their positions. This club was a mess before and they came in half way through a season. Especially with the turn-around of players, it'll take time to iron out that mess that was left before. It'll take a strong leader to do so and hopefully MH and TF etc are up to it.

But are they? That could be the problem.

So was it Hughes instructions that made all the players get sent off last year?

Does he tell them to not bother too much today?

If the players don't try then it's easy for 11 player to turn around and blame the manager, they know their jobs are pretty safe, it's the manager that always gets the boot.

All MH needs to tell them is that the pre-season games are over
