Good read that. I'm always hyper critical of Williams and I'm not sure why because the stats don't lie. Seems like whenever he does a howler it leads to a goal but I'm probably being unfair on him. He does seem to be getting better if anything and I wouldn't want to lose him.

Ash improved hugely under ML as a defender for me when Laudrup got rid of this passing from the back at all cost nonsense that BR always insisted on playing. Other than Man City, he'd walk into any other defence in the PL.
I agree. He is normally of such a high standard that when he is below par we notice it more whereas others can sometimes get by unnoticed.
