Reports that Pardew has made enquiries about Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, what do you's think? Scored seven goals for Swansea this season. Looks a canny player!!

Made an article about him the other day.

    I'd love to have him.

    If we sign -

    Sigurdsson
    Hoilett
    Vertonghen

    I'll be fapping furiously :p

Tiote maybe... but why Krul? Pardew already stated it would have to be a record fee to get Krul... no one is gonna pay that.

Moving on to one of the elite?

If we finish 3-5th we can be classed as one of the elite mate.

The only clubs that would be willing to pay the fee for him would be aiming for higher. I can see him being a life long toon player. A legend.

I think......I would rather lose tiote than Krul. Great keepers are hard to come by, and krul could be the best ever.

and yeah goddamnit man we are the elite

Tiote improves the quality of our midfield, but he is not essential. We have proven we can more than handle ourselves without him. Krul the biggest reason IMO why we're up where we are, or at least par with Demba Ba and Cisse.

He's saved us so many points.

Sounds likely as Hoffenheim wouldn't want a fortune and he has scored 7 and assisted twice since joining the Swans. Him Cheik and Cabaye would be very effect in the middle.

I heard a rumour today from a lad at work that we are targeting a 5m deal for Leon Brittain. He claims that we had some do with the basketball team and someone he knew was there, Pardew talking quite candidly. Supposedly while they were analysing the opta stats for their own players in the game against them, they noted his stats. Something about covering an impressive amount of ground was mentioned, and made them look back through his other games which showed they were replicated.

Could be horseshit but there you go

Should go for him will certainly be a good addition to the squad.

Can't see Leon Britton coming he's like 29 and over rated. The stats saying he's completed more passes than xavi are irrelevant when all he does is pass between the 2 centre backs. Would mind joe Allen though

I said the same thing about age but who knows. I know what you're saying about his passes, but to balance that, it is easier to pick killer passes when its Messi, Villa, Sanchez, Pedro etc making the runs! As I say it was supposedly his ground covered stats that left them reeling. Not to say its true of course.

Sigurdsson is a top player and only 22, his goal scoring record from midfield at Reading, Hoff and Swansea as well as U21 is top class.

I really like Mark Davies of Bolton. He would be considerably cheaper than Sigurdsson. Hoffenheim after 8-10m apparently.
