Looks like you lot have made some great signings so far, and if there is more to come the likes of City, Chelsea, Arsenal and hopefully us (Liverpool) will have their work cut out trying to beat you next season.

With Young, Nani and Valencia as wide options, Jones as back up to Ferdi and Vidic as well as Smalling the future is looking bright and anyone saying different is wrong. You still have a midfield problem though imo.

De Gea is also a good signing.

How are you lot seeing this pre-season? It doesn't seem like you are that pleased. No one is really getting behind the signings and even questioning some of them.

Don't get me wrong this is no Utd love in from me I still f***in hate you all. It's just an observation and I hope it all goes wrong.

So how you all feeling about next season?

I don't think people don't like the players we've signed, it's just that THE signing we are all waiting for (besides the new keeper) is a solid centre mid player. We've been linked with the likes of Modric and Sneijder for so long a lot of people almost expected us to get one of those two. I think we'll still sign a CM because I don't think we planned on buying Jones this summer, I think our hand was forced by interest from elsewhere. I think people will feel more relaxed about the signings we've made so far once we have secured a decent CM.

Like Dave says, it's more the fact that we haven't addressed the major problem in the centre of the park. Buying Young and Jones is like putting in a new bathroom and kitchen when there are cracks in the foundations of the metaphorical house. But we definitely need Young to address our lack of a pure left winger and Jones as long term cover for Rio. And when we get a CM in to fix the cracks in the middle, as I am confident we will, we'll all appreciate the new power shower and top of the range Aga that much more ;)

If you get a quality CM, you'll take some beating, who is on your wish list?

I know we would like a new CM, but I've got this feeling that SAF might mould Young into the player that Giggs is now. A central attacking midfielder that likes to run at defenders, the ability to pull out wide and cross as well. The only problem with that is I'm not sure Young has the defensive abilities that Giggs has because Ryan isn't bad, can certainly tackle and is still more than mobile and fit enough to close down opponents. And to be honest, apart from Giggs, the only CM that we have that likes to run with the ball at his feet is Anderson and I don't think he does it enough. He makes something happen when he gets the ball, turns and runs at the opposition defence.

lots of players out there, depends what we want really, if you want a box to box man, someone like defour could do a job.
if its creativity ( my wish ) then its the usual names, modric, schnieder (sp) etc
i'd like us to move for pastore or gotze to.

also what do peaople think of the rumours berbatov may be off to spain with cavani being touted as replacement. never seen cavani play, but will cost alot, if were gonna spend big to replace berba then why not aguero??

Don't forget that Pogba and Morrison are probably due playing time this season. Yes both are only 18 but they should be featuring in some cup matches as well I hope as some league games. Overall the future in midfield isn't too bad. Could be worse, our defence could consist of the likes of Konchesky, Johnson, Å krtel, Agger and Carragher! <laugh>

Nothing wrong with Carra and Agger, you may have a point with the others but dont think Konchesky will be there next year and we also have Kelly Robinson and Flanagan so not as bad as you might think.

As much as I would love Sneijder or Modric to sign, I think I would actually prefer De Rossi, he is more defensive than the others but certainly has plenty of ability on the ball.

De Rossi and Sneijder would be a good pair hope that doesn't happen.
