Although we have brought in 8 players. Only 1 actually exites me and that's wickem and he's unproven. I hope I get proved wrong but,

    Brown - good defender
    Oshea - good signing versitile
Gardner - one good season in PL
Larson - have never rated, no pace, no skill, but good delivery.
    Chinese fella - can't comment
Wickem - could become great, but are we just a stepping stone?
Westwood - good championship keeper, but there's many.
Vaughan - I think championship player, didn't notice him at all last year.

Don't mean to be pessimistic but where's the player there which actually exites the crowd, can beat a man with skill and pace?

I know that there is alot of time left in the Market but going into the season with the players we have now, I don't expect us to be in the top 10. We need a good attacking winger, and a VERY good striker. I hope we get 2 marque signings in, then we are ready, but at the moment, our team is worse than last year.

Remember we have lost bent, welbeck, onouha, mensah, Henderson (wanted him sold to be fair)

But how do we replace bent and welbeck? We replace them and im happy

With respect, SB and NQ have done the business and got in players that are experienced and will win us games, plus with the financial constrants in football in general he has done very well. I can be one of SB's biggest critics but credit where it's due he's done well. Maybe one or two positions still need to be filled, but I for one am very happy so far and still a long time left in the transfer window yet.

I tried to put it diplomatically, but not so far off the mark.

Happy with the signings but, like the OP not too excited by any of them except maybe Whickham.
Brown on a four year contract is a joke unfortunately I can see O'Shea getting a similar deal (hear he's signed but don't know details). Bruce has got to be getting back handers off SAF, or maybe he had to get those two before SAF would entertain a bid for Welbeck or a loan deal for Welbeck let the conspiracy theory begin.

Well Wickham for me is the single most exciting player we have signed in over 30 years.
I'm very pleased with Larrson and Gardner, even the young lad Deacon is one to watch.

maybe not all that exciting, but brown and oshea should be very good for you. its not easy not playing for weeks and then getting a shout to play in a big game..but thats what theyve done for years and rarely let us down. brown..if fit..and on a run of games is a brilliant natural defender..o'shea will always be solid

I think the priority is to fill the squad out with decent to good players, who can do a job for us and with PL experience (for most of them) and a winning mentality (even Larson and Gardner won something last season).

But has anyone bought anyone that would excite their fans yet? I cant think of any, Liverpool were not too excited to get Henderson for the price they paid, and Jones to Man U hasnt really got them shouting for joy either.

There is still awhile yet till the transfer window closes, and there is the Coppa America going on as well (not saying we will get anyone from there, but another club might and someone we are after from that club, could become surpless to requirements)

It's not one player over another, it's the whole package that has been brought in.

Seb who can cross a ball and handy at set pieces, Whickham highly rated young English striker, Dong highly rated Korean forward, Gardener can score from midfield, O'shea hugely experienced defender and defensive midfielder, etc. etc. etc.

    Look at the whole picture.

So wickham is more exiting to you than bent and gyan? Seriously?

I wasn't slating the signings, yeah most are solid, but no real excitement is what I'm saying, and I get hounded down for it

Brown - good solid experienced defender CL player (international)
Oshea - good solid experienced defender CL player (international)
Gardner - one good season in PL - 10 goals from midfield in an average BHam side - U-21 International
Larson - Swedish International (wanted by many clubs including Arsenal)
Ji Dong-Won - South Korean International
    Wickham - U-21 International
Westwood - Republic of Ireland International
    Vaughan - Welsh International

I suppose these aren't good enough for some people maybe Sanchez from Udinese or Sneijder from Inter Milan are more appropriate. Get real gbsafc4eva!!!! These are good signings and a signal of our intent this season!
