Ryan Dickson hasn't had a massive run in the team to prove himself but I think he is real quality, and I'm sure he will go on to secure the LB slot and put in great performances. Remember, he's only young. My vote goes to Guly though, as he has had a massive impact. Maybe a bit inconsistent, but he frequently produced moments of quality that helped get us vital wins, e.g. Bristol Rovers, Walsall and more. Always good to watch as he is just a class act. His vision and technique are both superb at times. As I said, inconsistent, but still a great signing that will develop with us even more until his early 30s!
SPECIAL MENTION to Danny Butterfield. Has really added some steel and good crosses to our RB position. Great acquirement on a freebie.
If Frazer had played more (not getting that shoulder injury about thirty seconds after signing) it'd be him, class act.
Guly. A fantastic player. I can't wait until next season when he is a little more settled in and the league is a little more about free flowing (ish) football. I also saw him in the shop when I was getting some ***s the otherday and he was wearing a Red baseball cap and Red shoes so I'm hoping that's a reflection that he likes us too.
JDub, you are aware that Guly is already 29, so i'm not sure how much more development he has left in him.
Lallana signing his new contract . Although Chaplows form dipped slightly at the end of the season he was a steal at 50k or whatever it was
Has to be Lallana for the new contract!!! Thought Chaplow would be but was surprised how badly he faded out of the side. Forte for the goals off the bench in that epic match (but did nothing else really). Guly just a little too inconsistent and frustrating for me to get it. Richardson too nervy at the end of the season, was surprised by that. Dickson was great and with him and Harding we have two of the best and most versatile left backs around. But it has to be Adam for the new contract, keeping him is a massive boost for the club in terms of team sheet and the message it sends
Guly for me too, but based on last season not next, However with that said i think we may see the best of him next season, I get the feeling that the championship may be the ideal level for him to really shine.
Great admirer of Guly, but it seems to take him a while to get back into his stride if he's out for any reason. Got to keep him playing and we should see the best of him next season.
I'd agree about Guly, been a great find and his orthodox style and ability to change a game with a moment of magic has won some of his critics over. Just went for Butterfield because he's been Mr consistent, reminding me of Harding last season.
I voted other..... Nigel Adkins. Whatever happened with the Pardew situation, he came in when we had gone off the boil without a manager and slowly turned the bus round. He won the players over and has got us promoted!
