    I have to say, ´munky´ or ´Sid´
    That yesterday lifting the lid,
    On your identity
    More than surprised me
As for others too, I guess it did

Which just goes to prove those we see
Aren´t always those they seem to be,
    Not everyone, soon
    Became well atuned
    To CanariesSoccer being PC

Now for us who know you of old
As ´munky´, a name etched in gold,
    It may take a while
    For the change of style
To catch on, and then take a hold

So excuse us if a ´munky´
    Does slip in, occasionally,
    But whatever name
    The game´s still the same
So no doubt we´ll chat regularly. OTBC

    :) rbf

Good to have you along in the line-ups too, but don´t get too far behind with your predictions.

Munky - sorry if I was a bit rude to you yesterday, it had been a long, stressful situation of trying to tell people what had gone on without giving away any 'secrets' of our dealings with you know who!

If only I'd waited, Thai covered it beautifully this morning! I was rather upset at people, having been told something had happened 'behind the scenes' were still adamant about trivialising the reaction to the thread! I hope that now you understand a bit more, you may appreciate what we were attempting to achieve

    <ok>

I would also like to extend a welcome home to you!

    <cheers>

Thai - he was on old 606 intermittently but was an avid poster on the snakepit, which was where RBF posted his 'Ode to Clive' (munky's doggy) <ok>

Why should you have done Thai? - this was primarily for the old 606ers and Snakepitters who would definitely have bumped into ´munky´ on their travels. Be good to get a few more of the originals aboard, if they´re not here already, in disguise. <laugh>

Never been on the Snakepit RBF, been in it a few times though - still preferred the Barclay Lower D or E <ok>

Wow - thanks RBF, I truly am honoured! Sorry mate, I've only just seen this as I've not been online much this week so really should say thanks for the dedication - I'll have to tell Clive we're all square now lol. Incidentally the little guy is doing great, however he is a couple of knackers lighter after we had em lopped off a couple of weeks ago, bless him :shocked:

And thanks to you other guys as well, I feel really bad now that I've been lurking and hiding under a different identity, it truly was nothing sinister and to be honest I thought somebody might have guessed it was me by now - especially when that little 'debate' about de Laet the other week started involved The Doc lol

Incidentally, from memory I was about the only person who thought de Laet wasn't good enough and that he was giving away too many goals to be totally reliable whilst everyone else was telling me I didn't know what I was on about and that he was the man. Somebody remind me how did that one turn out.... <whistle>

I think I might stay as Sid for the time being, unless there was an overwhelming movement to bring back Tony, and I don't think it's all that big a deal is it? Oh, and PC the story behind this name is nowhere near as exciting as the other one I'm afraid - Sid Smooth is my character's name in a wrestling game I play lol

Actually, couple of things to add to what I just said.

Firstly, I was hardly "intermittent" on the original 606 Dave, I was on there from back in the bad old days of Peter the Pointer, when he had Sponge warming the bench and Weaver treating us with his weekly battle-cries - and that was even before we got carried away with all the 'In Glenn We Trust' palaver :emoticon-0108-speec

Christ I was logged on all day at work and must have spent best part of 4/5 hours a day, every day on there for years! A sad old day when that went down, would love to know how many times I posted, must have been well into the thousands. I used to enjoy the wrestling forum on there as well, you'd get some absolutely cracking banter that literally had me laughing out loud - heaven knows how I never got scooped! :emoticon-0107-sweat

This forum is great, it really is and you guys do an awesome job modding so I absolutely tip my hat to you and Thai for keeping it in such great shape - your efforts truly are appreciated fella, even though I don't get to spend as much time here as I'd like to anymore. But hand on heart I still can't help wishing they'd crank up the old one on the BBC again, really miss that place I do :emoticon-0106-cryin

And the other thing I wanted to add was I shouldn't be writing off de Laet just yet as I've got a feeling he's going to have a big part to play in the next few games, and having had six weeks or so on the training ground working on his game I think he will actually do well. Six goals in two games isn't great and maybe it's time to bring him in to play alongside Barnett, as great as Rusty has been I think he might start to get caught out.

Power to you Carra, when the BBC606 Ubermods were in control it was very sanitised at times.... Its easier to criticise than actually create something NEW<cool>

Sid_munky - are you still managing to keep yourself afloat with your betting, seem to remember you used to like the occasional dabble. I still have the odd jab on the gee-gees now and then, and they´re still as reliable as always <doh>, sometimes wonder if the two we´ve got at home wouldn´t do better, and I can almost run as fast as them. <laugh>

Clive, becoming a bit of a lady´s man was he? still, I suppose he´s a bit lighter now, poor old chap. :)

Never really been into the gee-gees myself, the National and Gold Cup aside, but yeah I still enjoy my little weekend football coupons. Had an awesmoe one the other week when my random Barnett 1st scorer, City win 2-1 against Sunderland came in at 175/1 - shame I only had 50p on it <laugh>

It wasn't so much that he was becoming a ladies man, more of an 'anything with legs and a pulse' man! According to his walker he has a particular thing for a german shepherd called Mika and a black lab called Yogi - poor little fella would need a step ladder <laugh>

Yes, I can almost picture it, <yikes> I´ve got a flat-coated, and balled, retriever myself, so he´d have a rare old time with those two.
