I can actually remember this guy playing - RIP Ron - Wolves legend. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59260375
Before my time. First Wolves players I recall seeing were the likes of Phil Parkes, Mike Bailey, The Doog, David Wagstaff etc
One of my earliest primary school memories was being given a large piece of paper and some watercolour paints to draw something of our own choice. I drew some football figures in gold shirts against some others in Blue. I remember the teacher asking me who they were, and I said Cardiff playing Wolves. At that time Wolves were a top club and had been winning practically everything, and we were struggling in Division 2. I can also distinctly remember him saying "do you ever think that will happen again?" - funny how some simple things stick in your memory for so long.
Yes amazing how little snippets of memories remain from years ago but can’t remember what you had for breakfast yesterday
Im sorry to say but i remember them all,and my back is killing me just been for a xmas shop with the wife.
I remember him as well. I wonder how many of these players are still with us, Bobby Charlton excepted.
I was playing with Todge, whilst sitting on my dad’s shoulders! True story too! I’ll be 58 next birthday in two years time!
I was just realising there was a thing called football to get interested in. First favourite player, Johnny Haynes, replaced by Jimmy Greaves shortly afterwards. I knew nothing of that game though.
