I think he should leave now, not if we don't finish top 4. If we don't win against Reading and Wigan, i can see things getting very ugly.

Leaving now wouldn't get you anywhere, although he may invest in players your next manager might not want.

I think you'll probably still get forth - but is that enough? Don't think you'll get a trophy.

No. He's the best man for the job as it stands - if he is given the opportunity to spend over the next few transfer windows and the team still stagnates then maybe there is a new conversation to be had. But for now he is for sure the right man to have at Arsenal.

Other than last season and so far this season, we have remained competitive for the league, the cup competitions and even the CL at times during our trophyless period. Whilst moving to a new stadium and not having the resources available that other teams do, we have been to a CL Final, two league cup finals and almost won the league, whilst remaining top 4 every year and getting to the knock-out stages of the CL.

So even though we have been trophyless for a while we have always looked like real challengers and but for the odd decision by a ref or player we could have a decent trophy hall over the last 6-7 seasons. It's only last season and the beginning of this season that we are not looking like a team that is really challenging, but instead having to work to keep top 4. I don't think Wenger expected to lose Fabregas/Nasri/RVP all in such quick succession and it has definately had an impact on the team - if we hadn't lost them the way we did i think we would have been challegning last season and this season.

We are not in Liverpool style free-fall and the problems we have can be sorted by some sensible investment in players and sorting some contract situations out. I don't think it's a new manager we need but rather a slight change in approach. With the money now available i think we will see a different team next season onwards and a Wenger who is happy to buy the players he wants. He has made bids that were too low for players like Gotze and Mvilla before - with more cash behind his intent Wenger can still attract some top young players and get us back to the top.

Not sure if people really believe in Wenger, or it's the fear of losing him that's clouding peoples judgements. 7 years without ANY trophy is a heck of a long time for the size and stature of Arsenal. If Wenger was one of the best managers in the world, why has he not won anything for so long? Anything would do wouldn't it? Not just the big ones, but a Carling Cup would do wouldn't it? The team is starved of any success. They need to win in order to gain confidence to take them to the next level. We just don't look confident anymore. Even a few years back we had some swagger in midfield. Now we're getting out played by Swansea at home. This has never happened to us during Wenger's tenure, but it's starting to happen for the past few years. Other teams used to fear us, they should fear us. We have Wenger in charge, shouldn't that be enough? Maybe it isn't anymore.....

I think he will without a doubt leave, probably by mutual consent, if we do not finish in the top four. I want him to leave even if we get top four, personally.

Apparently one of the papers tomorrow are running a story on a major bust up between Wenger and Bould. Rumours (on twatter) that Bould has claimed that Arsene's lost his marbles.

I know there was rumours a while back, but this is a new story apparently.

They are getting their info from Stewart Robson. That guy is bitter and twisted after he lost his media job at Arsenal.

Didn't he lose his job for being critical of Wenger? Sort of proves the article right.

No, he was just a two faced ****. I remember him laying into Walcott for no reason, when he was commentating on some Arsenal game for another channel last season. It was very vindictive and he did that a few times last season. This from a guy that is meant to be working for the club. Of course, you want him to have strong views but he clearly went too far last season, and his rants at Walcott was probably the final straw for the club.

Would you keep your job if you were publically critical of your employer?

    It's not a simple poll.

It's entirely dependent on how much money Wenger would have to spend in the summer, where we finish in the Champions League - you never know, we might even win it - and it depends on the calibre of manager we could find as a replacement.

I'm voting NO for two reasons.

1.Depends on the JANUARY transfer window. Yes prices are inflated but well.. thats Wengers own fault. According to the borad there is 70 Million of unspent transfer funds. I want to see what Wenger can do when he does actually spend some money.
2.It would be foolish to let him go now before the end of the Season. Besides, I would rather see Wenger moved upstairs than actually fired.
He should still have a roll at the club - the man is a legend afterall.

I think that when he leaves AW should sever all ties with the club.I don't think it would be fair for a manager to have AW as a "back seat driver"

Good point Cym. The thing is we all want him to be some sort of technical director afterwards, but he may conflict with the new manager.

Well the whole 'director of football' tends to work well at some other clubs.
