What a dick-head, he's been playing racing games online too much. Doing stuff like that is worthy of a ban, he can't really complain about Lewis, his lap had already been compromised, all he could do was compromise someone elses.

no, of course he shouldn't start after that. the widest part of the track and he cuts across hamilton AFTER the session had finished.

The camera showed him doing nothing wrong, anything with Hamilton is always the other persons fault...Well done...

    Shouldn't start tomorrow.

Whether there are any further sanctions would depend on whether Hamilton takes a full part in Q3. I wouldn't normally advocate outcome based stewarding, but where the move is so deliberate and blatant there is a case for it.

fred, i hope ur talking about the incident before the lap finished, which was a hamilton overtake, rather than the one afterwards where clearly maldonado drove into hamilton, seemindlgy in a revenge attack

maldonado was completely to blame.he blatantly just drove into the side of lewis eventhough he had miles of room.
only lewis haters will say it was his fault.

Regardless of how bad the move in Monaco was, you couldn't say with 100% certainty that Hamilton set out to ruin Maldonado's race.

Interesting turn of events! Hamilton was ahead (I believe) into the final corner, so he was ok to go for the corner. Admittedly it was clumsy, but it was a racing incident I feel, Maldonaldo should have seen him, Hamilton maybe could have compromised his lap slightly and would have still got say 5th, but thats not in any racers nature. The Maldonaldo sideswipe, if it was as deliberate as it looks, was really bad, you can't have drivers giving that image of the sport, I think it should be a ban, at least this and next race.

Incidentally, does the sponsorship Maldonaldo brings still go to Williams if he isn't driving, or do they lose support? Could we be seeing Valtteri Bottas in Singapore, or do they try and bring in someone more experienced?

Sorry but I always said Pastor was a loose cannon, back of the grid for him and rest of season bann if he trys it again. Yes Lewis made contact, but both were trying to set times, afterwards it makes no difference because 1 was likely to get into Q3, the other one not.

    That was old school contact...

Why should he get a ban? Hamilton ****ed his lap up and cost him 8 points in Monaco (most likely on purpose). Why didnt Hamilton get banned for that?

I would DSQ him for that. Hamilton made two reckless moves on him this year yes, but to actually seek revenge is terrible.

I'm gonna wait for pastor, lewis and the stewards comments before making a comment about that. All I will say is well done to Lewis for getting into Q3 at the last gasp under massive pressure and then qualifying 2nd after the events that unfolded. Beautiful.

    What a load of crap.

Maldonado was scrapping with two others so his lap was already bollxed up. He then went sooooooooooooo wide into the last corner Hamilton quite reasonably thought he was moving aside, then he just turned in on him.

No excuses for what happened after La Source.

It's the sort of thing I do on F1 2010 when some douchebag trys to take me out (on multiplayer). It looked like Maldonado did it deliberately but but I'm wondering if Lewis moved slightly to the right as well - therefore the collision being accidental, and with Maldonado being ahead of Lewis, the contact pulling his car to the left.

I'm not sure at the moment, and until the stewards make their decision I'm not going to blame anyone.

100% agree, there is no way it is Hamilton's fault, if anyone says it was its because they are haters. Maldonado should not of reacted like that at all!

Any driver who is shown to deliberately hit another driver with malice and intent should have a severe punishment.
