Paul Duffen has only ever followed one person on Twitter. His wife. After a discussion with me over the past couple of days, he's now following me. Genuinely scared for my anal virginity
He obviously went on Twitter as an exercise in self promotion, but as almost every tweet to him is abuse from a City fan, I don't know why he doesn't jack it in.
Not that I'm siding with him but is there any reason everyone gave him 100% blame when he left? I mean, Bartlett was just as likely to be be the culprit, surely? Duffen claims that money was taken out of the club, and gave a massive hint that it was Bartlett.. Or did I miss something at the time? I was only a wee lad to be honest I was happy to accept that it was clearly all PD's fault back then just based on what other people said, I barely read the reports.
I was speaking about this the other night when travelling to Donny, all he does is get stiff abuse from City fans, and tbf to him, he hasn't lost his rag!
He mentions a book in one of his tweets. That could be interesting if he is writing one. I would have though he wouldn't be allowed to write anything particularly revealing though about city. His main defence when stuff is thrown at him by city fans is that the majority shareholder took money out of the club and that was what got us in the mess. He claims that situation would have been manageable till that happened. It would be very interesting to find out how much money Bartlett made or lost from his time owning city.
maybe Duffen is a scapegoat but he had it in his powers to draw up contracts so he has to accept some liability for the financial mess..
