Luis Suarez has revealed how he once played out his Liverpool dream via a playstation. The striker admits he would often fantasise about playing alongside Steven Gerrard and co during his younger years, always opting for the Reds as his team to challenge for honours on his console. "When I was a kid playing on the PlayStation, I always chose Liverpool. I've never said it before, but they were already my team at that time," he said. "It was funny, because at the time I played on the screen beside Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, guys who were at the club when I came. "To me it was a dream come true." Suarez has been a revelation since swapping Ajax for Anfield in January this year. To many his transition to Barclays Premier League star has been seamless, but the man himself insists the gap has been difficult to bridge. "The main difference between Ajax and Liverpool are the leagues," he explained. "The Barclays Premier League is really intense and very physical. "In England there are no easy matches - ever." Suarez's performances have already stood him out as a Kop hero, with supporters hailing him as a worthy successor to the iconic no.7 shirt. He admits he feels privileged to don a top with such tradition and is delighted to follow in the footsteps of some of the club's legends. "It gives me huge pride," he said. "When I think about the players who have worn it before, like Kenny Dalglish or Kevin Keegan, it's been legends at the club. "When I go onto the pitch, I am aware of the privilege I have been given to wear that number." Suarez has been magnificent for both club and country this year, leading to a place on the 23-man short-list for the Ballon d'Or. Speaking of his nomination, he said: "If I'm among the top 10, that in itself would be a great reward."
