As many of us gooners did who bought new tops this season, we all thought who will be staying, first that came to mind is Jack Wilshere, so last Friday (10th) I bought the Wilshere number 19 top from my local SportsDirect as I'm in the Midlands so I have no chance of getting it from the store or delivered in time for the game earlier. Than he changed his number, 1 day before the new season starts, unhappy was an insult. I did take it down to try and get a refund from the Armoury but understandably they refused and SportsDirect have confirmed via their Twitter account they won't be doing refunds on the top, I will check in a store anyway. The main reason of this is that if that fails, does anyone know how you can remove a letter from a shirt? (Will buy a number from a local shop after for them to do) It isn't the velvet print, it is the plastic one. I've tried googling and that hasn't helped, so if anyone knows a good way of removing 1 letter than that would be great as I don't want to have wasted 60 quid on a shirt that wont be worn as often as my away top, especially as this home kit is for 2 seasons. Any help would be great
Either put it in a washing machine at a high heat setting, or try using an iron on it. Thats the best i can think of.
If you put it on a high heat wash, it will strip the sponsor off. Your best bet is to take it to a dry cleaners, they might be able to do it properly. If you're anything like me, trying to do things like that yourself will only result in a spectacular failure...
It's a bloody liberty, though. I feel for you. Nowadays, if I buy a shirt, I put my own things on the shirt to avoid any trouble (especially as our players have a habit of stabbing us in the back!). Last one was Allons-y 10. I need professional help.
