Anyone who pays anything like that to see Adele is an idiot, plain and simple. She's got a good voice, can't deny that, but how bloody boring is her music? You'd have to pay me to sit through one of her concerts, I wish people would realise how much fantastic music there is out there if you just have a look (or rather listen) out for it rather than just rushing out and buying stuff they're conditioned to rush out and buy. And please don't get me started on Take sodding That!
I've no idea whether the floor blocks are the best of seats and even if they are it's a ripoff! but how on earth can the intermediary justify £146.70 for a very modest paperwork excersize? Bah!
My thoughts echoed precisely, Munkyman Just because she sells records by the zillion doesn't actually make her any good! Maybe these minted morons should give Aurora a listen? A breath of fresh air in a sea(bass) of mediocity
Totally agree, I've been to many gigs and I always prefer a more intimate venue with a band that will get your foot stomping, but someone like Adele I'm not sure I'd understand, good voice undoubtedly but, i can't see her putting on much of a show, like you say her music is dull, one song in isolation is fine but I'd be clawing at my ears halfway through the set. But then we all like something a little different, I'd listen to Adele on continuous loop for a decade rather than endure 30 minutes of any recent R&B! Bah!
WOW - some interesting comments and I have to say I agree ith them and as for charging a booking fee of nigh on £150 - heck, I won't be spending much more on Xmas!!! Bah Humbug!!! (Apologies General!!!!)
Not worth starting a new thread for, but talking of rip-off Adele tickets, and while we're on the subject of unbridled, raving lunacy... http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/update/2015-12-01/judge-allows-defendants-cat-in-court/
