I think he's had a decent start to the season, but not good enough to be keeping Ben Arfa out of the side. The defence is exposed enough by playing 4-4-2 and not having a left back without not being able to retain possession in midfield. There's no excuse for not running your socks off for the cause either. It sends out the wrong message if a player only gives 90% and keeps his place, especially given the strength and depth we have in midfield.
To be fair I felt in the 2nd half with the exception of the wrongly disallowed goal he was favorable to them.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_7218045,00.html? "Newcastle's resilience is to be admired and they are looking like serious contenders for a top-six finish" blind delusion from Sky Sports there, surely??
Did you see Charlie Nicholas, our goals were down to bad defending and the penalty appeal was blantant. Clearly doesn't like us think his English team as boy was Sunderland, as he always biased towards them.
If they build us up for a Europe spot they can make more of a fuss when we stop our assault on the top 6.
Would some lovely soul inform me on what I missed on here while I was gone? Also how did we play against Blackburn? And finally what's up with Match of the Day showing our match before the Liverpool derby?! Are we being treated as top 4 now?!
Nice one, good to see him doing well, went down to Northampton for the cricket when Durham played there in August and they seemed like a decent set of people.
Michael Owen just tweeted he is going to be a Q&A on twitter tonight at 10;30ish. I believe abuse will be in order.
