Definitely start with Sharp. Lee has the potential to be a fantastic player for us but it will take him at least a full season to get to grips with the English game. I still love reminding my Arsenal & Chelsea supporting friends how they thought Henry & Drogba were crap in their first seasons, so we need to be patient with him.
I would be happy if either started. Lee has played well when he has come on. Sharp has been a bit disappointing so far. I don't want Lee to turn into one of Nigels Impact subs *cough*forte, SDR *cough*.
Lee may not always scare the opposition but he terrifies the other ten Saints players. "What the hell will he do next" is their clear collective thought. But if he scores more goals like that who cares? Sharp is a good striker, and Adkins has bought well. He'll have a new slimmed down model scoring regularly within a couple of weeks. My money's on Sharp.
I suspect it will be Sharp, but I'm really not fussed. If either get to six goals before the end of the season (why six by the way), then between now and the end of the season their goal-scoring record would be pretty much one in two (maybe better, if they don't feature in all of remaining 14 games), and that's good going. As for the here and now though (ie Watford), I would be sticking with Sharp. I think he'd be better suited to the match than Lee. I do think the Leeds game the following weekend could be right up Lee's street though.
Is this "Sharpe" a new player for us?We've got a player with similar name who is already play at Southampton,Billy Sharp is his name. I would start with Taddy Lee instead of Sharp,he looks way off the pace.He needs to trim down then he will be an even better player,a true saints player.
But then again, you change your handle every 5 minutes. What was the last one..? Lord God of Swaythling..?
From what I've seen of them both, Lee seems to offer a lot more, and I'd like to see him start some games. I'm sure we've not seen the best of Sharp but he's not really shown enough to justify his place ahead of Connolly or Guly either so far to be honest!
Sharp has done f*ck all since joining us, whereas TADANARI has been a thorn in many a side's arse when coming on. He has pace, tenacity, a good touch, vision, positioning etc etc, and deserves a start after his stormer versus Derby.
I can't quite understand people saying Sharp has been a dissapointment after 3 Games!? Give him a chance to settle down
Sharp will be a good player for us, but he has the look of a guy that needs a cuddle Or is that just because he comes from up north?
Lovely bit in Cork's interview on OS. He says that Jos has been giving it some in training after scoring in consecutive games. Tried going off with the strikers in training and had to be sent back to do defence training
There's a difference between him being disappointing so far, and him being a disappointment. The key words are "so far"
That's an easy one, get the letters muddled up and you could end up saying Go -naD? I refer you to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJ0nFQgRApY
